Stuck at home | Project L: Part 81 - Behind the scenes
Added 2020-04-30 09:07:10 +0000 UTCLook, a new camera! The mighty Canon 1D X Mark III to surpass my previous Canon 1D X Mark II. While the name does not change much, the new camera inside is bloody brilliant. The predecessor was too, but this just does everything so much better.
Especially video. The previous stills camera did not have such a capacity to grade the colours in post-production and thus its video basically records less colours and their vibrances. The new camera, instead, records even better video than my day job's cinema camera.
Where would I need the cinema camera any further, you might ask, and that would be a valid question - but it has way better ergonomics and audio monitoring capabilities, so it's a much better package when on the go.
But then again, what Project L has recently lacked was the casual way to pop on the video recording mode with ease between taking photos and then just resuming the photoshoot.
I haven't yet tested the camera's RAW video capabilities with support for 5.5K video. Yes, 5.5K. That's more than 4K.

See? 5.5K is bigger than 4K!

I salute you! :D [But seriously, I think WolframAlpha is awesome and more people should use it!] Thanks to the 4K resolution, I am now wondering about the tattoo on Jonna's right upper arm, and the bandaid on her nose. Probably wouldn't even have seen those in 720p :D Anyway, many thanks Tuomas for the nice video! You are right, these little clips from in between the photos really add to it.
