Can you believe a country makes it illegal to be naked on a beach when the best thing they have is miles and miles of pristine, secluded beaches? I had fun breaking the law for you! I'll be taking off soon for the Orlando Fringe Festival presenting, Naked at my Age. It's the largest fringe in America and I'll get to see other shows (100!) and meet the artists. A theatre orgy! Here's Orlando Tickets if you can come. I'll also perform in Eugene, OR, with a clowning friend who will open the show, on May 30--join the laughter.
My new book, How to Be a Prostitute and Not Get Fucked, is almost ready on my website. You'll be the first to know. I relate my story of becoming a sex worker at 50, and share vulnerable client stories from a 20-year pioneering career as Erotic Muse. Who seeks sex professionals? What are sessions like? How do you teach intimacy? Meet my clients:
* A 68-year-old virgin travels across country to attend my erotic massage class, “I’ve never touched a vulva before.”
* A woman ponders over her choices during a Bossy Massage, “What DO I want?”
* At a bachelorette party, I pull out my ‘Invisible Rope’ and show the women how take the lead.
* My Uncle Ben starts dressing ‘like a lady’ when he's 85 years old, “I didn’t expect to live this long—Now, I'm going to be me.”
Praise for How to Be a Prostitute and Not Get Fucked:
“What an incredibly unique, under-heard set of stories—powerfully & bravely told by Charla. It’s like no book I’ve ever read.” Dr. Betty Martin, Wheel of Consent
“Charla clearly presents what intimacy coaching is about sharing various techniques and games she uses with clients, and her lessons are so much bigger than sex.” Annie Sprinkle, Erotic educator
“I loved all the stories of all the people, who they were and how you coached them! Charla brilliantly changes the meaning of erotic storytelling, throwing in tidbits of sex education everyone can absorb.” Michael Castleman, Sizzling Sex for a Lifetime

Sex in the News
Loved this article in Vogue, 7 Movies about the S*x Industry to Watch After Anora.
NYC Anthology Film Archives hosted a series “Women, Workers and Wh*re’s on Film” screening films about, and made by sex workers.
Did you know? The overwhelming majority of sex workers surveyed began this work out of economic necessity, not violence, coercion, or fraud. Yet “Anti trafficking” policies most often arrest people engaged in consensual s*x work, excellent article.
Question: Why does Nevada, the only state with legal, regulated, prostitution have the highest arrest rate per capita for prostitution related offenses? Hum...
The Swedes are wrong: The Swedish “End Demand Model” (since 1999) criminalizes the client for purchasing sexual services, and has devastating results. The law drives sex work underground making it unsafe for everyone, and sex workers victim to police harassment. Now the Swedes want to criminalize remote work—webcamming! European Sex Worker Alliance condemns the Swedish government in an open letter.
Hooray! There’s a new recognition to involve sex workers in policy decisions that affect their lives, to give them a seat at the table in deciding policy like decriminalizing their work. You, my Patreons, are on the forefront of supporting this change, and I'll keep you posted.
Mucho love for your support, I think of you often, Miss Charla, the beach bandit of Nicaragua
