On a tropical morning, I notice my body

I notice what I want—value it, trust it, communicate it. Desires are our highest intelligence, they steer us towards uncharted Wonder. Choosing what happens on our body is a Spiritual Act--more important than any fancy things we do to each other.  Choosing, moment by moment, how we want to touch and be touched is the Soul of Sex. 'Choice' makes our bodies feel safe, sexy, loving, respected--it is the heart of sexual empowerment and the fountain of erotic joy.I just finished teaching intimacy retreats in the tropics and will return to Latin America next winter with another kind of workshop, one for the local people! In homes, back yards, cooperatives and women centers, I’ll talk about Tu Cuerpo es Tuyo, or Your body is Yours. Our southern neighbors deserve to feel safe from violence, be empowered to choose how and when to share their body, how to say yes and no with confidence, and how to find support for their choices. This new project makes me excited and a serious Spanish student.

Vermont lawmakers recently introduced two bills that would decriminalize consensual adult sex work. 

New York Reintroduces Bill To Decriminalize Sex Work and also an immunity bill that would protect sex workers from prosecution when reporting a crime. 

Illinois lawmakers are preparing to introduce a groundbreaking bill aimed at decriminalizing consensual adult sex work, marking a significant step toward protecting the rights and safety of sex workers. This proposed legislation comes amid growing recognition of the harms caused by the criminalization of sex work, which leaves individuals vulnerable to exploitation, violence, and legal penalties. By decriminalizing consensual adult sex work, the bill seeks to shift the focus from punishment to public health and safety.
