Swing Low Sweet Chariot

Greetings from the Down Under, I'm in Australia now. Growing up I called my genitals "Down There."  So I guess I'm close.  Why does the full moon looks up-side-down from here?   I'll be performing at the Red Rattler soon--a woman run theater!  Everyone down here says, "No worries!"  So I won't.

On my way across the Pacific, I stopped in Kona, Hawaii, and performed 'Naked at My Age' at the Dragonfly Ranch’s gorgeous outdoor theater. Yes, that's the ocean

I want to share some appreciations from my clients from my 20 years as a Sacred Intimate. Touch brings up our deepest layers; words falter in comparison. I still see their faces as we say goodby at the patio doors of my BodyJoy studio, our bodies soft from touching and eyes moist with love...

"I feel every cell in my body—I notice the tag inside my shirt."

I lost my fear and just felt.

I haven’t breathed with anyone like that since Lamaze class 30 years ago.

There’s no right or wrong to the touch games you teach.

This is the opposite of everything I ever learned about sex.

I lost my embarrassment and just got into feeling.

My body can talk to itself.

I can enjoy without doing.

You create a space where I don’t have to try, I can be quiet and still.

I could feel my eyebrows like it was my whole body. Like the breath before I lift wights.

This is new and restful. I’m in Restville.

I used to stay outside my body, look down and wonder why things don't work right. Now I’m inside and feeling.

"With you, I felt the presence of someone in my past who also made me feel this comfortable and good. In gratitude, I will contact them after I leave."

Maybe being away from home makes me miss the wonderful experiences my work with you has brought to my life!

Caringly, Miss Charla

Sex is Political, here's what I've been following...

Sex workers are the ‘foot soldiers’ in humanity's movement for safety and dignity in the work place.

***Woodhull Freedom Foundation went to the Court of Appeals this week to continue the fight against FOSTA (Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act) which is a misleading law that claims to fight against online trafficking, but in practice targets anyone attempting to sell commercial sex online. Its unconstitutional, dramatic impact censors consensual sex workers by taking away the websites they use to screen clients and find work safely.

***Strippers are voting to ‘unionise’ in a Hollywood stripper club. They are professional performers (duh), and deserve rights where they work (double duh).

***Kids Online safety Act, introduced to the Senate, will do the opposite It will limit access to information on bullying, on LGBTQ+ issues, and on drug abuse or suicide prevention. More info here

***Over the counter birth control pills—a new possibility?  The FDA is considering what millions of women using birth control pills have proved—they are safe and effective, and we can safely expand access by removing prescription requirements. Free the Pill

***Under the Adult Survivors Act, New Yorkers who were sexually assaulted as adults but who have run out of time to seek accountability in court will have a one-year “lookback window” to sue their abusers, as well as institutions that were negligent in responding to the assault.
