Every one is sacred (NSFW)

It's been a while since I did a little behind the scenes, so let's talk about sex, baby. Or more specifically, the bit that comes near the end when a man is involved, which is to say, semen.

They don't call it a money shot for nothing. For a sex scene involving a penis, it's usually in the most literal sense the climax of that scene, the moment it's been building to, the reward for sitting through endless teasing and bad punning. And, after spending two weeks or more producing the visual content leading up to that moment, I definitely don't want to skimp on that part, and get it done in fade from a "before" and "after" image of the same scene, but she's glazed on the second one, and there's some white screen flashes when it transitions.

Since it is such an important moment, it needs to get quite a bit of attention. In fact, for Light of my Life, it's not uncommon for the climax and post climax images to take up just as much effort as the whole bit leading up to it. And that also means it has to look to good too.

Luckily, there's quite a few assets out there that'll help get the job done. And you need quite a bit of them too, for variety.

Sadly, not all of them look equally nice out of the box.

Some look like, well, toothpaste.

Some of them just look like paint streaks.

Then there's ones that look like unappealing grey paint streaks, meh, you get the point.

That just won't do. I can't have all that work done, and then have the grand finale end up looking like someone tipped over a can of paint.

So, that means messing around with the shaders. Luckily, I found some assets that do look nice, so I've started copying those shader settings and applying it on all the other different splooge assets I use. And on the upside, it means they look a lot more coordinated when mixed.

If you're interested in the technical bits of it, it seems that pushing the subsurface scattering amount well beyond the limit for that parameter gives it a nice cloudy effect, while still catching light like a fluid, and while I'm more than willing to admit as looks go, it's still not quite realistic, at least it looks velvety and shiny and inviting and just about right for the celebration of the magic of the orgasm.
