July Update - New Theme - Map Suggestions Wanted
Added 2021-07-03 09:02:20 +0000 UTCHello to you my wonderful Patrons!
So with June, and our theme of Keeps and Castles, behind us its time to leap into our next theme, as voted for by you - Big Bosses
This theme will focus on large boss areas that give lots of room to manuever and a variety of height, cover and environmental hazard options for a really engaging final battle!
But now I want to hear from you guys, I am consicous of the fact that we kick around alot of ideas on our Dicord channel but only about half of you are on there.
So if you have any suggestions for maps you would like to see that you think would work for this theme then drop a comment on this post.
Also I encourage everyone to jump over to our Discord Channel, we have an awesome little community over there and you get a real opportunity to shape the content I produce for you. Click HERE to join
As always thanks for your continued support and I'm looking forward to making some pretty epic maps with you guys this month!
Thanks
George - The Reclusive Cartographer

Small to medium sized maps that relate to specific monsters and work to their strengths. Make them generic so they can be used as random encounters. Eg, giant spider encounter, tree roots they can hide in, walls to make use of spider climb. Bulette, walls where it can attack and burrow again. Eg a revine Swamp filled with willo whisps, trees to gain full cover, murky water as difficult terrain. Give examples on how you intend the monsters to fight in the descriptions.

2021-07-05 03:57:05 +0000 UTCA portal set in one corner of a large formal garden. The garden is off to one side of a large, once powerful castle. A long-ago king opened the portal to try and draw forth allies, but that didn't work out so well. Now the garden is overrun, the fountains and statues broken, but from time to time something still slithers, creeps, or stomps forth from the portal...
