I'm thrilled to share this commission of Sylvia by Danmakuman. It's an artist I have followed for years. Please follow him on X/Twitter as well as Pixiv/Fanbox
He draws exquisite pinup art in a retro style inspired by the 90's Japanese game covers, more specifically the ones for the NEC PcEngine console.

And to make things even more connected, his callsign is a reference to a specific genre of shoot'em up (or Shooter, STG, Shmup depending on your timezone). Danmakus, also known as "Bullet Hell" or "Bullet Curtain," are a sub-genre of shoot'em up games where players navigate through dense patterns of projectiles that often resemble a form of abstract art.

It's a genre I love as the focus is not just on defeating enemies but also on weaving through the barrage of bullets.
