Hi, all!
I wanted to take a moment to tell you all about what I'm currently doing and my thoughts going forward.
As many of you have either asked or already know, eventually, I want to start telling long-form stories that take place within the FutaNanobots world that I'm building up, with persistent characters and epic storylines (as well as huge amounts of smut, obviously). Whether that long-form story takes the form of a game, a novel, or something else, like a graphic novel or comic, is still up in the air.
Which I eventually pick will largely be determined by if I can find a market that readily accepts the Patreon business model in the way that caption enjoyers on Reddit do.
Obviously, a game is a logical choice of story-telling medium in that regard since we all know that there is a ready market there that is well familiar with this business model, and I'm pretty sure that most of you would really enjoy that kind of long-form medium. However, games come with their own problems.
I don't think it's a secret that the skill I've spent most of my life working on has been writing (I mean, my name kinda gives that away), and that my new graphic efforts are enabled by all this new technology that has recently sprung up. Eventually, I want to be able to create any piece of artwork I want, for any project I want, readily, and efficiently. Regardless of the current technology, this will likely require me becoming a full-blown artist in my own right, which is one thing I'm currently working on. Every one of my current caption projects involves a lot of additional image editing and digital painting, and as my ambitions grow, and my desire to closely match the pictures I use with my creative vision also grows, I find myself spending more time on the latter and less time on the technology that formed the original picture.
At some point, we'll reach a cross-over point where my own art skills will be good enough that if I decided to pull the trigger on a full-blown FutaNanobots game, I would have the confidence to do so, but it is not today. Nor is that day of coming certain in its specifics (I'm already more confident in my coding abilities).
And unless we find a ready market for a long-form FutaNanobots story project in another medium, such as in novel form, a game is what I'd like to aim towards.
And all that brings me to today's update and what I'm currently doing.
In order to reach the point where my graphics skills are where they need to be, there are a number of hurdles that need to be overcome. Here is a short list of the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
The plan is to tackle each of these one at a time, using my caption projects and the feedback I receive from them, as the judge of how I'm doing, something that's very important for any artist, whether in visual or in prose.
Because of this, each individual image that I'm working on is going to take more time as a portion of each caption project, but with the result that more interesting stories will gradually open up to us as my capabilities increase.
However, I also don't want to decrease the rate of publishing, nor the quantity of writing I'm putting out, which is why I'm going to be trying out a new caption concept over the next few weeks. As part of this experiment, you'll be getting my Work in Progress images for the stories that I'm writing first, and once all the images are done, I'll then publish the stories that go with the images to you in sequence. This sequence will then combine to form part of a greater narrative, which I'm hoping will be awesome. (Another small step towards long-form story-telling).
I'm probably not explaining this well, but you'll get what I'm on about once the complete captions start hitting the metaphorical presses.
In the meantime, please enjoy our boi making out with his beloved Union Futa after getting massively cream-pied by her gigantic Futanari cock. I'll leave you to imagine what story this could possibly be a part of :)
