She was replying to a liberal comedian. And she said something like “i liked your tweets about banning abortions for rape victims, putting the military on the border and caging migrant children and then i realized you were mocking us…” her tweet had a real “shame on u” tone to it. 😂

2024-06-22 16:50:13 +0000 UTCHmm I really don't think it's fair to expect Annie to react in a perfect, "be the bigger person way" about her literal abortion being broadcast on live tv... while John is justified in killing tons of people cause of his abuse. I also don't like this whole 'comparing abuse' thing either. I also think it's important to remember that Annie was also a kid, who made a stupid and hurtful decision but still a kid, and to basically put all the responsibility of that one incident as the cause of firecracker turning out to be what the show is quite clearly telling us is a horrible person, should not be put on annie. At this point, they are all grown, and if it's between the person that made a horrible decision at 13 who has since very much proved they're a good person who wants to help others over a bigoted pedophile, I'm choosing the former

2024-06-22 02:49:21 +0000 UTCGreat episode but on a somewhat serious (and maybe preachy) note. I’m not a fan of how dismissive the show has been this season of childhood bullying. What happened to firecracker literally causes thousands of kids to self-harm or worse. It can cause lifelong trauma. In many ways, it is not that different from what happened to Homelander. And like with Homelander, it is not that surprising that a traumatized child to turned into a broken adult. I also dont think Annie’s assault on firecracker was defensible. Annie, instead of beating someone (who could accurately be described as her former victim) half to death, could have used that moment to demonstrate to millions of people that even heroes get abortions and that its a medical procedure and not a mark of shame. I know that wouldn’t have served the plot. But at the end of the day, i find what Annie did to firecracker to be so repugnant that it’s hard to look past. Kids literally die everyday because of the kind of bullying Annie engaged in.
