A NEW SIDE PROJECT!?!?!?

Here's something very important I've been dying to share with my dear patrons! :)
Aside from the time I've spent on developing The Void of Deviance, I've been tinkering with RPG Maker and Unreal Engine from time to time for a possible secondary project. I have come to the conclusion that to make Unreal Engine work, I would have to make TVOD my side project or abandon it all together, as Unreal Engine is much more complex and I would need to create my own models. I do not ever want to stop working on TVOD, and I don't want it to become my side project. I genuinely enjoy and love developing The Void of Deviance, it's characters, the island, the story.
Therefore I turned to RPG Maker and I was blown away by how convenient it was to use. I was bombarded with so many ideas to make another game and I wanted to know the opinion of my patrons on this.
Long story short: I've been trying RPG Maker out and I wish to start developing a side project along with The Void of Deviance. (TVOD will always be the priority.)
Here's what I have in mind for the RPGM side project, along with a brief plot:

First thing you should know that this project won't be as versatile as The Void of Deviance. By that I mean it won't be "Do whatever you like" "Sandbox/open-world" type of a game. It will be more linear. Although, it will still have a map and a world that can be freely traversed. So I guess open-world, but a bit more linear storyline.
The focus of the game will be solely Femdom/Female Domination. Same rules and style apply with The Void of Deviance in terms of kinks and fetishes.

Plot:

As a kid, you were the son of a family of high stature. You also had a loving big brother and a big sister. Your brother and sister helped your parents in running the family business. Then came a night... You are still traumatised about that night. But the burning memory never stopped haunting you. Your entire family, your mother, your father, your sister, your brother... They were murdered by a female assassin. You were still too young and innocent. But the experience engraved itself into your psyche. Just as the killer was escaping, you tried to chase her down with all your might, right before your knees gave way and you collapsed to the ground from all the shock and despair. The last thing you saw that night was a very distinctive tattoo on the assassin's left foot, before she disappeared in the dark.
You were never able to figure out the motive behind this tragedy. Why would anyone want your family dead? Was it because of their powerful position? Was it because of wealth? Well there wasn't anything that could amount to that anymore. Ensuing the incident, you were adopted by your family's close widowed friend, who's also your teacher. You started living with her along with her three daughters. Throughout the years, you have wondered about a certain person, a successful and ambitious woman who has always been a rival to your parents with her own company. Was it her, that my family had been assassinated?
Years have passed...
Now, you are a young adult who'll soon be off for college to pursue higher education..
Do you still feel the revenge eating away your soul?
Will you do whatever it takes to learn who was responsible for the death of your entire family?

And that's the plot!
As I haven't been able to use Daz3D efficiently, The visuals will be acquired from Honey Select 2 in this one as well, similar to The Void of Deviance.

Thank you so much for this feedback!! I can only agree with your statements :) Of course, after writing script and dialogues for all those scenes, I'm dying to release the new update for TVOD as well, and of course, I'm talking about a side project that will be developed on the side ONLY AFTER the release of 0.1.7. Not before. :) That being said, I personally wouldn't like to engage the player's in point A to B quests as they seem to be stalling gameplay, rendering it stagnant. What intrigued me about RPGM is that the slightly more immersive gameplay opportunities. The ability to move your character physically to interact with others, and objects. As well as the possibility of exploring a different perspective. I really liked how you used "blank state" or "blank slate" for the background of the MC, because that is in my opinion is more immersive and gives the player to project themselves onto the character they are playing as. I do not wish to impose a rigid role/lore onto the player either. Therefore this plot is just a concept that came right of the bat. So it is safe to say that the plot I provided above is just a tentative one. The MC of TVOD in my opinion provides that blank state to the player, that is what I especially hoped to achieve or emphasise with his "baptised rebirth" in the prologue, at least. I'll keep pondering for better scenarios, or to make this abovementioned idea a bit less restrictive to have a better plot. So the MC does not have a single motivation. :) Nevertheless, this post is just to notify and hear the opinion of the patrons ^^ That I have learnt how to operate RPGM for sometime, but I'm currently still only working on getting the visuals for TVOD's next update ^^ Thanks so much for the feedback &lt;3

As others have said, TVOD is a great game and I'm sure others like me are dying to see more content ASAP so starting a side project now is certainly risky. The other major problem I have seen with developers using RPGM to make linear games is that you end up with a huge complex map with nothing to do and the majority of time is spent getting from point A to B. In TVOD if I wanted to go to a place and buy something or interact with a character, I just click a few times on the GUI but some RPGMs make you walk forever, open a bunch of doors, and make quests where you run errands all around the map without a lot of actual femdom content. Another thing about the synopsis of your story is that it seems to be a very tragic and emotional story which is also notorious to execute well to be relavant and not cheesy in a femdom game. Personally, I prefer games where you get to develop your own personality from a blank state at the beginning and that affects how you interact with characters in a femdom world, dealing with the many shades of femdom, rather than a MC with a lot of history that railroads him towards certain personality traits and sentiments which seems much more restrictive and immersive. Anyways, if you are confident in your ideas, don't hesitate to surprise us though! TVOD itself was very innovative and a good idea executed well can often prove sceptics wrong.

Oh! Happy that you think the game's getting really good &lt;3 :) I'm not bored working on TVOD, it really is a lot of fun. But it is also true that the idea of using a different game engine like RPGM sounds intriguing and can open up to new opportunities :) The upcoming update is still the priority nevertheless. I guess I'll just develop a first demo for the side project and see the reaction, if it is welcomed and enjoyed, then I could continue it as a second project. TVOD always comes first though, and will always come first :) &lt;3

Void of Deviance is starting to get really good, so I think you should stick with just the one project for the time being. Unless, of coarse, you get bored with working on one at a time and need a second project to stay motivated.
