Build 0.0.284 Live!: Transformation System (WIP) (Bleeding)

Bleeding build 0.0.284 is now live for Lieutenants and above! As this is a bleeding-edge build, please use the patcher to update your version to it by clicking the gear and changing the channel to bleeding.
This build releases the transformation system out into the wild, marking a major step towards completing the first milestone. The transformation system has a whole new chain of moves and a couple of art assets so it is a pretty big task. In addition, the ongoing 'final' animation polish is very close to being done! Design work for the Manhattan area has also begun.
Here are some of the other changes that went into this build compared to the previous build:
- [Animation, Combat Mechanics] Jump animations and behavior has been completely reworked (video above)
- [Animation, Combat Mechanics] Dash animations and behavior has been reworked
- [Combat] Preliminary launch attack. (use at own risk, this is very, very WIP.) (Jump -> Heavy)
- [Combat] Ground Pound 2 Attack, preliminary version. (use at own risk, needs tweaking.) (Heavy after Launch)
- [Combat] Preliminary work on bufferable jumps. Only the launch attack accepts a buffered double jump right now, other attacks will receive a jump buffer later.
- [Sound] Continued combat sounds placeholder replacement & implementation
- [Programming] Anim Notification system refactor. More reliable animation-driven states, should fix some of the 'stuck being unable to move' bugs.
- [Bugs] Pressing jump and attack at the same time should no longer cause a super jump
- [Combat Mechanics] When locked on, player can no longer cancel out of the soft lock input vector auto-orienting to the locked on enemy. Allows more reliable lock-on behavior.
- [Battle Damage] Placeholder battle damage for casual mode implemented
- Miscellaneous frame data tweaks and balancing
- Miscellaneous animation polish
- Update lighting to use new indirect lighting model
- Materials tweaked slightly, most visible on skin shader
Also, the launcher has been updated, mostly to address some issues with slow and less than reliable connections. Here's the launcher changelist:
- Fixed bug where app would load forever if user was pledged but hadn't selected a reward. Warning message now shows on the settings screen when this is the case.
- When a download "finishes", app now double checks to make sure that the file size matches what is expected, if not then it downloads what's missing. Enable downloads to resume gracefully in case of a broken connection. (should help a lot of people with poor connections to the file server).
- Added Discord link.
- Allow users to access any version of the game that they have installed even if they are no longer a backer (no updates though).
- General bugfixes
