December YCH Secret Santa list and quick update

Times are still pretty compressed for me. I haven't hit the road yet but my rig is ready to go. I decided to sit tight with family for Christmas for their sake so I'll be able to get a good amount of work done this weekend.
This month's YCH will be done via the Secret Santa list and voting will resume as normal in January. I'm gonna do something risky and try to get two paintings done next month.
The first will be the 'Gnoll' piece y'all chose for November and I'll have you guys vote on the second.
To tide y'all over for now, here is another patron sketch from July. This was for Gunnar stag who got himself caught by the horns by a particular polar bear. Very awesome, super friendly guy, thanks again for your patronage, bud!

What are we supposed to provide in the Reference field? Our character reference? A description of the YCH pose or scene? The form doesn't say.
