New tier rewards poll

As mentioned in the previous update, I am considering adding some new rewards and tiers. Some by popular demand, others of my own invention. This is by no means a binding poll, it exists primarily to test the waters as it were. Find out what you guys like so that I can better craft the tiers/rewards going forward.

If you like the idea of something, tick the box. You can tick as many boxes as you want. I encourage you to leave a comment with feedback or your own idea below if you have any.

Please consider each option on its own. Even if one option seems worse than another, if you would like to see it, select it.

Learning a bit more about programming and how games work this is what the environment would look like on paper. Your models that you create would have to be a final build. or at least the most recent build of the model. This model would have to be stored on everyone's PC in a T-Pose. I know how bad this sounds but honestly, it has to happen. So models that any user has not yet purchased, or previous models for example that they did not have access to in the past will be stored in physical form. This is to save on bandwidth. Because in my mind the number one thing the models need in order for everyone to enjoy is the animation. So you might have some people steal or "rip" the models from the engine. but the Animations are only kilobytes big. All it is doing is telling the vertices, or bones, to move in certain directions. We could have the animations be sent to the clients in a state that is read only, and encrypted. In order to prevent people from stealing the work you put into the animations. All assets have to be downloaded but by preventing the animations to be stored in physical form you have a sense of control. However encrypting the animations, and putting it into a form where the client side app accesses the animations would be a bit difficult. And preventing people from obtaining a copy while it is on the PC would be just as difficult. The code would need the game to be uninterrupted. Then there are people who would record their version and upload it to youtube. I find this one to be easy to detect and issue bans on certain accounts. Creating a plane in front of the camera at all times that displays the username of the client in the background, on the model itself, or even in the scenery would make it easy to identify who is leaking the videos out. There are some very crafty ways to put things into the scene that the naked eye can not detect. This would be simple but would require you to think a little bit outside of the box to ensure everything is tagged correctly, and would require a tool set to be created in which ever 3d program you use for modeling.

Hit me up on discord or Patreon PM when you get to that stage and i'll see about getting you something to test with. :)

I just began learning C#. I also picked up a few books in C++. And I am also learning the .net framework. I've had this idea of creating a 3D animation viewing program that allows the user to take control of the camera for a few weeks now. So I would say my project is going to take a few years before I can get a working prototype. I am doing this alone but I would love to help on the coding side of things. The only thing I do not know how to do is animate 3d objects yet. Which it would be nice if I could borrow a model from your work to see how it is done. That way I could get the animation down.

Thanks for the offer! I'm no scripting/coding champion aside from some limited experience in Unity/Unreal so if we do end up implementing (some of) these rewards I might need some help! Of course right now this is all in the pre-planning phases, so its difficult to say exactly if, what, how and when I'll need assistance. I am keeping track of patrons and others who want to offer technical assistance in some way, should the time and or need arise you can be sure I will let you know. :)

That's a concern to be sure, I definitely do not want to be in a position where I am dedicating a disproportionate amount of time to specific tier rewards. What can be considered a "proportionate" amount of time is of course somewhat subjective, but if there is anything that may cross this line, I'll be sure to perform a limited test first to make sure that it doesn't. Community rewards are an interesting idea, I fear however that this would overlap with the general "Goal" system of Patreon, which seems to have been implemented for exactly this purpose. However, I will take your comment to heart and see if and where we might fit these concepts in. Thank you for your thoughts. :)

Currently not, but the step from 3D interactive camera to 3D sterescopic VR is a very small one. It is definitely something I will look into down the line. :)

I am currently learning how to code in c# and I want to begin using unity3Ds engine to create a program that allows people to see the animation fully rendered on their own machine. But I am just barely beginning to learn c#. I would love to be a part of this program or team in any way possible. I am also learning the .net framework so I can at least create a means of security to make sure the animation file can not be stolen. And possibly prevent people from recording what they view and re uploading it to another site.

Additional rewards are difficult to really pin down as anything that requires you to shift your focus away from what everyone is supporting you on to do something your top tier are 'paying for' feels bad for all the people supporting you but without the disposable income to go higher. I've always liked the idea of community rewards based on how much you got from the community the previous month. Like, instead of adding rewards for specific people, having a goal if you reach a total donation amount of $1000 and a more ambitious one if you reach $1500 or something. Obviously the goals you want have to be obtainable but like adding in an internal shot might be a goal or an alternative gender rendition (M/M > M/F or vice versa). Gives your community comradery and goals rather than competition and separation =3

I sure would like to see some stereoscopic renders of your stuff too. If your software could handle it.
