Asari Splatbook Sketchings

Been talking to a friend of mine who runs adult RPG games online, got to talking about items/equipment that the Asari in a potential Fragged Empire game would have (The Asari are not native to the setting, but got imported in through dint of being sexy)

And so came up with Spines and Breedsuits, which I did the above sketches for- and some lore summations to be found below:

Spines

At first glance, a 'fashion accessory' to be slid between the ridges, also serves as an aphrodisiac and mood balancer, able to delight the wear and help           soothe/massage them.

During this process, it passively monitors the subject's brainwaves and builds a neural map of them for future manipulation. When the map is complete, it can be activated. When activated, wires piece down into and through the brain; the end result of this growth period being a number of 'receptor needles' emerging as a growth from the back. From this point, their mental pathways can be monitored and directed, allowing certain thought patterns, guided them away from others.

Initial control is loose and centred around memory manipulation and language centres. The longer it goes on, the more fine the control can become in dissuading           certain thoughts from being formed and rewarding other thoughts. When grown in, cannot be completely removed, but can be turned off, rendered inoperable, and is unfortunately hackable.

Genecoding

A process unique to the Asari in which their genetic code is primed toward an 'owner' by overtaxing their personal pheromone defences and forcibly suffusing their cells with another's genetic information. Every Asari cell becomes 'bound' to their owner, with effects depending on the cell- Ears attuned to their voice, skin to their touch, etc. After this initial suffusion, they are then 'malleable' for a period of a few days, in which they are introduced to the sights, smells and sounds of             that which they are to live and die for. This need not be a 'person', it can be a company, a logo, etc. 'Breed-suits' are suits specifically designed for this and provide the most comprehensive single-owner imprinting experience.

After imprinting, the new geneslave has a 'code-growth' somewhere on their body, and every cell of their body and thought in their mind tells them they are             property of another, even if they logically know it shouldn't be possible. If away from their owner for too long, they become listless, depressed, despairing, and in gradually iller health, aging prematurely, and suffer severe anxiety attacks and cravings to be close to their owner again. If kept with their owner, they are kept young and vital and in good working order.

Their opinions/moods are still their own, but their very essence tells them they are owned and must submit to the one they are coded for. This makes betrayal             rather difficult for them-- especially as it is an intensely religious, spiritual experience for them to work and obey their owner, even if they don't want it to be. Direct, in-person commands and statements are taken as immutable Law. Any offspring produced share this encoding.

Though it is possible to overwrite this code, it is not possible to nullify this form of slavery.

I don't know if anything will actually come from this mechanically on their end, but it was fun! Perhaps I should make some rules to go along with this stuff and make a splatbook of control devices to use in 5e/Pathfinder/Fragged Empires etc.? Might be a market there, who knows.
