So in rural Oregon in the 50s boys did stuff like this often. I will say though 30 miles is a little bit far. This is such a great movie.

2025-04-21 02:00:01 +0000 UTCAnother good Keifer Sutherland movie, with Sally Field, is Eye for an Eye. He plays his role so well that it is difficult for me to disassociate him from it when I see him in other movies. 😅 He is so versatile at playing different roles, from a bully to dudley-do-right.

There's something special about Stephen Kings ability to write childhood banter in his coming of age stories. Probably why Asia said it has the feel of IT. Castle Rock is the fictional town that Stephen King uses in several of his stories that helps give a creepy ominous feel to the settings. While the plot isn't autobiographical, King has said the novella/movie is largely based on events that happened in his life, including witnessing a kid get hit by a train. The casting in this is too notch as well. All 4 of the boys went on to star in major films and TV shows (Will Wheaton, Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, Jerry O'Connell)... Not to mention Keifer Sutherland, Richard Dreyfus, and John Cusack.

BTW, did you know that John Singleton played homage to this movie in Boys in the Hood when they all went to see the body as well as the end of the when “Doughboy” disappeared…Also, that was Kiefer Sutherland from 1986. He was 20 yo then… This movie came out a year before Lost Boys.

There was a while there where I thought Kiefer Sutherland played nothing but assholes, but he's been in some decent stuff. He was the lead is Designated Survivor.

My life was completed at 52:08 and 1:09:20. BJ made a whole dance in this one! Right around the second time listed above. Nice moves. Hehe. Priceless. Crazy part is I have a cousin who looks AND acts almost identical to Vern!!! So when I see this movie it’s a whole laugh fest for me. So glad y’all got to watch it. This was my childhood. I always hung with the boys (mainly cousins) so we would end up about 10 to 20 miles away with no regard for anything. Parents never had a clue. Some of the best times. And Asia ima need some more songs from you. Your voice is too beautiful to hide! Love you guys.
