Monthly Sketch Stuff

So I've got some stuff to go over regarding the monthly poll. First, although anyone with access to the polls can already see, I want to officially announce the winners- Mini-Monster Mayhem in the "80's" Supporter poll and Atom Eve in the "Redheads" Secret Stash poll. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Unfortunately, that does lead into some slightly bad news- the drawings will be a little bit late. I have a convention on the 29th, and I'm already in crunch mode getting ready for it; therefor I won't have much time to work on these before the end of the month. The good news, however, is that I'm mostly busy making other art, so there won't be any lack of updates. The Ninja Turtle sketches I posted this morning are just the beginning of what I'm making in preparation for the con, so keep your eyes peeled for more art along those lines. More Turtles, Power Rangers, Pokemon, and even the characters from "Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared" are all on the to-do list, and my Secret Stash backers just might get a visit from a certain character conspicuously absent from the Redhead poll very soon. And, of course, the June poll winners WILL be drawn, they're just going to be a little late. 

And that leads into my final point: I think I'm going to try something a little different starting with the next poll. Don't worry, nothing too dramatic. I'm just going to try bumping the timeline up by about a week. The way I've been doing it so far, I'm spending the first week accepting suggestions, and then the actual poll itself runs through the second week. The thing is, doing it that way means that the month is already half over by the time I even know what I'm supposed to draw, and with real life limiting the time I can work, it's made these poll sketches a bit more stressful than I think they need to be. So, starting with the July polls, I'm going to start gathering ideas in the last week of June and then do the voting during the first week. I'm also considering shortening the amount of time to vote to maybe three days instead of a week, but I'm not so sure on that yet. Considering the few people I have voting currently,  that seems to me like it should be plenty of time, but feel free to chime in in the comments with your thoughts. Of course, this means that I'll be taking ideas and most likely opening voting for July before June is even done, but eventually this all would mean more time for me to spend on each drawing, which equals less stress for me and better art for you!
