This is one of my favorite ET movies. They were hoping to make it a trilogy with the family trying to get their boy back but they canned it.

I've never seen BJ jump so high as he did when the camera went around the corner in the kids room and saw the alien over his bed. I laughed so hard that I kept rewinding it over and over. 🤣🤣

This was a surprisingly good movie. Very creepy. Watch the movie "Fire in the Sky" for a really good alien abduction movie. It's supposed to be based on a true story! Creepy!

Wow. This was a great movie. First time hearing of it. Better than signs. The first X-Files movie is excellent after watching signs and dark skies.

I HIGHLY recommend that you guys consider looking at some older films that were an important part of film in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Exploring the influences of musical theater is an amazing education and provides an interesting context from which you can explore elements of filmmaking. Singing In The Rain is a great film to consider in this endeavor.

If you’re referring to the movie with Jeremy Renner and Amy Adams, I agree, it’s really good, but I believe it’s just called “Arrival.”

I saw this years ago and basically forget everything. I think it's because the ending left me feeling kinda...what? My favorite alien abduction movie is called "Fire In The Sky" Now that's a banger!

You should give the movie The Arrival a try. You’ll definitely like that.

That's not what that hearing was about. It was about UFOs. Which literally are just unidentified objects in space and air. Nothing about that actual hearing was about or confirming the existence of actual aliens.

They’re still making movies like this. Nope was excellent. That’s just the most recent. Between 2013 and 2022 I’m sure there are more.

There were so many signs throughout the film about The Greys intentions.... and I missed every one of them. Blumhouse is an expert at hiding clues in plain sight. The movie goes back-and-forth between surreal scenes and normal every day life, keeps you on your toes. The miscommunication--or lack of--between the parents is so frustrating as an audience member. It's a reminder to be truthful with your spouse or SO. The Greys love to torment their victims, as evidenced throughout the movie. Eventually an out-of-sight character is dangled in front of the family via walkie talkie, with no hope of retrieving them. At the same time, those left behind are accused of heinous crimes as further punishment. Not just a sci fi flick, but also horror and a psychological drama. Great choice, whoever recommended this one.

When I tell you Asia let out a scream of FEAR & BJ almost hit his head on the ceiling with the way he jumped back in his seat during that bedroom scene 👽🤣 33:45
This movie is HIGHLY underrated. 1 of maybe 5 good movies that show aliens in this kind of fashion. It's only done right when they don't force the alien down your throat. Minimum encounters because that's the way it really would be! Now imagine the kind of movie they could make in 2023 if they used movies like "Signs" & "Dark Skies" as inspiration.

Looked like abt 30 stars trailing each other with the same distance in between them but they were moving UP, not DOWN! I said oh "Hell No! No more Syfy for me tonight! Turns out SpaceX was launching a "satellite train" tonight! 🥴
