And you don't need him to clarify what 'it' is. What else could it be but Latin?
*if (Told_Mist= true) You study his expression. "Mist didn't tell you?"
*if (Told_Mist= false) "Do you ask as Lance," you say, eyes boring into his. "Or Mist's spy?"
You curl your marked hand. "My mother."
Your smile has no mirth. "You didn't share your tale willingly. Why do you think I would?"
You shake your head, no more, no less.

2025-09-10 19:20:10 +0000 UTCIt keeps sinking in how significant it is to admit it was their mother specifically. If it was their dad it wouldn't have to be *as* enormous of a secret. That could be anybody; another escaped monk or high-ranking Church member--even a current Church member with an obscenely dangerous relationship with their bastard. Just the word "mother" narrows the possibilities so dangerously.

2025-09-08 19:16:51 +0000 UTCI’m slightly confused on the “Told_Mist=true” variable because I thought telling him got Romanus killed? I will be honest though, I haven’t really focused on Lance in my play throughs so I could have easily missed it
