I can't believe I'm just now getting a chance to start this season and you're almost done. Again another packed one. I'll just comment what I remember. The scene was Arya and the kings landing soldiers I think was a good way to show that most of the soldiers even on cersei's side don't actually care about her or who becomes the ruler. In these days people can get conscripted into the army and a lot of people join to make money for their families so they're not all evil by virtue of fighting for her although I get it pretty much everyone we've seen on that side has been a horrible person in their own right. I always think of a Maester as a combination between a librarian, historian and doctor so the horrible 'internship' doesn't really surprise me. Sam is like I don't have time for all of this though lol Again the acting in the Jon and Sansa scenes is just some of my favorite. They have great tension and they're both making good points. I can really feel her frustrationand at least part of it has to be the fact that she's been through a lot and feels she has the wisdom to make some of these calls but at the end of the day she's a woman and if she wasn't then they probably would have declared her the leader since she's a legitimate child. I don't think she blames Jon for that at all but it still has to sting. Love the scene at dragonstone. I agree it's one of my favorite locations in the entire show and seeing dragons back there for the first time in centuries. It's damn near emotional. 🥲

- i have no clue why ed is in here BUT it’s funny bc i first heard of GOT only bc he was posting about it online in the early 2010s 💀💀 so s/o to him lololol - i do wonder if they would have had that scene there showing the more human side of the lannister army if he wasn’t making a cameo though.. like… was the scene written in BECAUSE he needed a scene created to make a cameo OR was the scene originally going to be in anyways and they just added another random character in the shot? 🤨

I thought Maisie (Arya) was a fan of him so they got him on there to surprise her

If I remember correctly, no, Frey is seen as trash because he married very young and his general asshole nature. I don't think he has kids with his own daughters though. I get where Sansa is coming from but look at those kids who are now in charge of what's left of their families. Taking their homes away because of something their fathers did?? They're just children That's actually Ed Sheeran's castle, he let them use it under the condition that he gets a cameo. OKAY I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks of that scene every time they show the table. I'm like Dany idk if you wanna be touching that

Dragonstone’s irl filming locations are all in spain. The bridge and steps are real but the exterior fortress/castle is CGI. The interior of the castle is a set they built in ireland though.

I could have done without the graphicness of the maester citadel🙂

The reason people say the iron island supports the Targaryens is because of what happens during the Dance of The Dragons (Targaryen civil war) during house of the dragon. It’s a bit spoilery if you’re not into/caught up on the books and only watch the show. Arya is such a bad ass! I love her development as an assassin. I remember watching this live, when the season aired and twitter was going crazy because the books are only up to when dang gets taken by the huge Dothraki hoard, before setting fire to the khals. From that point on, the showrunners were making it up, with some help from the author The ed Sheeran cameo is so surprising and funny. He’s apparently a huuuuuge fan of GoT which is why he’s in it lol. I think this scene was really good to show that while the person who is leading the army may be shit, the soldiers are just regular people probably conscripted or in need of money or have no other skills. Here are the main sigils 1. Wolf - Starks 2. Three headed dragon- Targaryen 3. Lion - Lannisters 4. Kraken - Greyjoy (iron island) 5. Golden Rose - Tyrell 6. Blue falcon - Arryns 7. Stag - Baratheons 8. Red sun w/ a spear through it - Martells I love watching scenes of Dragonstone because I can compare it to house of the dragon. This is probably my favorite castle/location
