2025-11-15 23:26:21 +0000 UTCI’m not sure that you realized this, but AFO said that he copied the quirk of an orphan and took away its reversibility, so he could give Shigaraki a quirk that only destroys. That child was Overhaul. Overhaul’s quirk allows him to break down matter and rebuild it in anyway he wants. Shigaraki’s quirk only allows him to break down matter because they took away his ability to reverse that.

2025-11-15 20:58:31 +0000 UTCSomething you might have missed: the quirk all for one made a copy of and turned into Decay was Overhaul’s. He was in the orphanage at that time. Ironically Shigaraki ended up being the one to take Overhaul’s reconstructive ability from him with that very quirk. Wild.

He wanted to be a hero as a kid, but after all he gone through he wanted to be a hero for the outcast/villains I am not a supporter of that I am just amazed how good writing that is, the author must have touched so many "routing for the villain" fans hearts with that one one Simultaneously showing AfO as a true evil villain who did not just groom Shigaraki and enabled his dad to abuse him but HE MANIPULATED SHIGARAKIS DAD TO MAKE ANOTHER BABY JUST SO HE COULD RAISE HIM TO BECOME HIS NEXT VESSAL. AfO raised Shigaraki to hate everything because AfO believed that was the way to take OfA back

2025-11-15 20:18:30 +0000 UTCIn case you missed it, Shagaraki's Decay quirk was actually a modified version of Overhaul's quirk. It was copied from Chasaki while he was at the doctor's orphanage. Pretty wild to think that Chasaki's hands/quirk were destroyed by a copy of his own quirk.
