Some of those fillers are canonical as anime canon because they had at least minimal supervision from Kishimoto and Ikemoto. That's why some of them are good. This skipping really sucks and Nick doesn't even know what he skipped and what he would enjoy.

You skipped probably the best arc in Boruto written by Kishimoto for the 20th anniversary of Naruto. You could only bang your head against the wall if you knew what you skipped.
