Let me give one really good exapple. So, in the sub version on the Ferris wheel, Naoka Ueno, the mean girl, says, "Let's agree to hate each other. Shouko Nishimiya says I don't hate you," and then Naoka Ueno slaps Shouko Nishimiya. in the dub version, Shouko Nishimiya is voice acted by an actual deaf girl, and in that same Ferris wheel scene. Naoka Ueno says, "Let's agree to hate each other and then Shouko Nishimiya says, "But I don't hate you. i hate myself and starts breaking down crying, and then Naoka Ueno slaps her. That same scene hits so much harder in the dub just holy crap It hits you so much harder in the feels

Every main kid that had some kind of importance or relevance had either more or less some kind of redemption moment in the series. Even down to Ishida's two friends in elementary school who left him. They went to save him from drowning when he fell off the building.

Your name is also good but it's too shallow regarding the main theme of the movie (long distance relationship), while this movie has one of the most pressing questions in human philosophy - why we live? what is the reason we exist? if we did something bad, are we deemed evil for all life? can a human hope for salvation of the soul after doing something morally and ethically wrong?

(I love both evenly though) Plus if you buy the whole series (it’s like 6-7 volumes) it comes with a poster of the fireworks festival ^^
