As nick says, its not perfect or probably the best thing out there but my god is it unique and great on its own merit. Some of the best characters out there.

The studio in charge at the beginning had it very abandoned for having Naruto in production and little by little they gave it more prominence, now that Naruto is finished and Boruto is good... which is, let's hope they give more favoritism to Black Clover , come back soon

2023-10-04 12:00:28 +0000 UTCwatching your reaction to this took me back to how i felt after i finished the anime a few months ago, this anime may have had production problems and "mid" episodes but the story beyond all of that is so good and you can tell that there were some people apart of the production that has alot of love for the anime and i really admire that, this anime is definitely one of my favorites, shit maybe in my top 5, black clover has a feel that not alot of anime has.

Full metal alchemist was also getting too close to the manga as well but instead of stopping the anime they continued it with its own storyline. That's why there's 2 versions. Full metal alchemist and full metal alchemist brother hood.

The movies awesome and i really hope the anime comes back. Thanks nick for watching it was like watching this show over again for the first time. It was a little emotional for me honestly at the end lol. I love watching someone else enjoy the show even half as much as me.

2023-10-04 00:01:53 +0000 UTCYep welcome to the still waiting club. The manga itself is wrapping up and it took a while for the movie to come out after announcing it soon after this episode. But the manga is actually wrapping up and they at one point said it was bc they basically were moving to fast for the writer & didn't want to produce filler. Which is probably why most of the filler they have is purely flashback episodes. I'm betting that sense the manga writer is essentially forced into wrapping it up early by life, we'll get the show back when it's finished. I already read ahead and while I have a little more information to say this I'd like to explain what I think is actually going on with Liebe. Asta sensed immediately that Liebe wasn't trying to kill him. He had hatred and anger but that was directed at his own race, not Asta. In fact, I'm fairly certain he realized they were brothers the whole time & has been protecting him. If you rewatch it assuming Liebe can turn anti-magic on & off, some plot holes make more sense. Other anime tend to have the inner demon be evil & change but ever sense making yuno respectful I watched it under the impression they fix conflicting messages & watched as if Asta's devil was a good guy from episode 1. Even his refusal to make another deal "your body can't handle another deal. You'd die. You're weak". We see patrys body turn black when he gives in to a devil & Asta complains & has said several times that "black mode" makes him hurt all over. The guy who does 1000 one-handed push-ups in episode 1 like it's nothing & has no problem cracking a rock with his head is sore from that. And does Asta seem like the type to stop willingly if he over-exerts himself? Also we DID see Lucifero. Lucifero is gravity magic. In other words the devil possessed guy Asta & yami fought was contracted with the guy that killed their mom. The more power he poors in the worse it hurts Asta. He's the only devil who isn't partially in the devil world. It's pretty obvious that if he wanted to take Asta's body, he'd just need to flood him with anti-magic. He's clearly happy about it when they take down their 1st devil (in the elf arc which btw "it doesn't matter how strong and amazing you are" sounds so close to what Asta would say too) so it seems like he was hoping they could take Lucifero like that. But ultimately they lost and Asta would definitely have died. He keeps saying things like "even if" I have to take your body. He clearly doesn't want to but at this point was convinced Asta wasn't strong enough and that he'd finally have to. That being said Asta is physically stronger than Liebe and Liebe DOES need Asta. It's heavily implied Liebe never fought back meaning this was Liebe's 1st actual fight of any kind in his life. He has no idea what he's doing. Even though he can turn it on and off & create new powers for new swords, he doesn't have much control either. Asta is usually the one to make the power take shape while it typically just gets let out wildly 1st. There are several points earlier in the show that makes more sense in this context like pushing Asta into patrys head, getting stronger suddenly around devil spells like the elf reincarnation, time limits that are extended when asta is healed or his damage can't be progressed like when Nero sealed Asta's body damage etc. From what I can tell liebe is basically saying "wtf are you doing? No you can't have 3 minutes of this you'll be in a hospital dumbass I'm cutting you off". It also makes some situations make more sense like jumping into finrals portal with an anti-magic sword out make more sense. Liebe is basically turning the on & off switch. It takes a minute but it Aldo makes sense when he gets a sword that can take the poison out of the village. He can hear & see everything inside that grimore. Watching/reading it knowing that makes Liebe my favorite character. Also when he says all devils he means ALL devils. If you do read pls upload here too bc that would also be amazing. As far as I know we still don't know Asta's dad but current fan theories are; Yami, Wizard King and somehow someone w/no magic. Yami is the only one that makes any sense in my opinion but all have problems. Wizard king destroys the message which they've been amazing at avoiding, even having no magic you would still die, and Yami is unfortunately too young. I'm still trying to figure out how he & Henry are related though bc white hair & similar curse to me means they have to be cousins or something. And dark magic does resemble anti-magic. Maybe someone used manaskin with a lot of magic or the kind they had nullified whatever it was going on with her? Maybe she didn't have that affect yet. We really still don't have a lot of answers. I would love to know what Grey's magic is & more about charmy's origin & backstory so that I can actually like her but similar to the anime ending I'm guessing there's just not enough time sadly. We might get to find out Asta's dad but idk. People really want Asta and Liebe to secretly already have cooler powers or destiny but I really hope they don't do that.
