Special moments of mother daughter early in the morning and late at night before bed. Our weaning journey has begun as my toddler only nurses in the morning and at night now. I am so happy that I get to capture these precious moments that are filled with love and lots of cuddles spending quality time with my toddler providing her life-sustaining milk that nature has allowed me to provide for her. A breast is made for feeding children. Human milk for humans. As our journey slows down and the baby led weaning kicks in, I cherish these moments with all my heart knowing that they may soon be over. I have no idea when she will no longer need mommies milk in the morning or at night before bed but I believe in allowing her to determine when our breast-feeding journey will end. Who knows if she will nurse more often during a growth spurt but as for now I will appreciate every kind and close moment that I get to spend with her whenever she decides to nurse. The closeness and the bond that I feel while nursing her is undeniably strong. Hormones play a big role in this. Did you know that studies are now showing that people who breast-feed or chest feed beyond the age of three have been shown to have closer bonds between parent and child when the child becomes an adult?! Pretty cool stuff that they’re finding out about Breastfeeding. #normalizebreastfeeding #equalrights
