I found it downright bizarre that you brought up that old Fig Newton commercial with the chimp-two weeks ago I completed a music video for my friend's punk band Brain-Bats, and we made it to be a fake trailer for an 80s horror movie. To make it look authentic, we transferred it to VHS and added a few seconds of commercials at the beginning to make it look like the video was recorded over something. One of the commercials we used was the exact same Fig Newton commercial! We chose it after scanning through another old videotape from about 1987.
