I'm a web developer, and I use the phrase 'Test Toast' all the time. I also use 'Eat a Stick of Butter' as the test string I use for headlines and stuff. It also took me years to realize that's Willy and not a second Homer jumping in at the end song.

2017-09-09 04:45:27 +0000 UTCWeird to hear that the Jay Ward shows are still being aired in weird chunks, since there's no reason for it. All of them are owned by Dreamworks now, so it'd probably be easier to sell them intact than broken out by segments. But then again, Dreamworks just bought the Classic Media assets just to sit on the rights (judging by how they've done jack squat with them), so logic probably doesn't apply to actually making these wonderful shows available. In other news (cuz Patreon won't let me do paragraphs like everyone else for some reason), this is still my favorite Treehouse of Horror. Every one of the segments is both hilarious and effective as a horror/suspense/sci-fi story on its own. I'm especially fond of "Time and Punishment", and it's a bummer to see a show as mean-spirited as Rick & Morty replacing it as the best reference for time travel nonsense. (When the first joke from a show I see is "guy wretches because he saw a woman who isn't a 25 year old size zero naked" and that's it - no commentary about him but rather about how dare this woman exist despite her unattractiveness - you lose me instantly & continue my impression that Adult Swim is for channers.)
