Perfect Girlfriend [v.0.4]: Patreon Edition

Good aftermewn! As so often tends to be the case with me, I got really, REALLY carried away with this one. It's been a while since I touched anything with Perfect Girlfriend, and I felt compelled to really dig my claws in this time, so I could deliver on something special! It took longer, but I exceeded my original plans to just add in a punishment system-- I also completely revamped the gameplay loop!

Rather than performing one encounter each day before immediately returning to bed, you must now complete a quota of 2-3 chores throughout the course of a day. Some tasks/encounters are only available during the Morning, while Citrine is typically out of the house unless you catch him during the Morning or Evening. I've altered old scenes and added in new ones, and I've done my best to make sure that this mechanic isn't too repetitive/time-consuming, but I think it's going to be a couple more updates before Perfect Girlfriend is in a state I'm super proud of.

I have ideas! I want to add in a new Composure stat which affects how desperate and needy you are during your chores, as well as more embarrassing chores to perform later in the day if you absolutely need to meet your quota, and different embarrassing punishments if you repeatedly cause Citrine to disapprove of your actions...

I've already got some future content pre-written for the next Perfect Girlfriend update after this one which I'm HOPING to release amidst a regular Perfect Home update! The game feels like it's really starting to get its own form, ESPECIALLY thanks to the new art added thanks to Hepta!

The next update will be for Perfect Home again, featuring on what's left of Julian's dating arc, and the ability to unlock Felicity's bedroom! I haven't gotten to keep as far-ahead of schedule as I was planning, but with Gerrark hard at work on Mace's upcoming content, I still fully expect to release the fourth and final rival for Perfect Home before the end of the year. The itch.io situation kind of threw me for a loop! I'm still a little unsure of the future of the project on these websites, but I'm planning alternatives and possible exit strategies-- while keeping business as usual with the project's development in the interim.

PATCH NOTES:

• The gameplay loop has been majorly changed! Days now take place over four time blocks: Morning, Mid-Day, Afternoon, and Evening.

• You must now perform either 2-3 chores daily or accompany Citrine for an encounter, else you'll lose either one Friend, or Comfort and Approval, at End of Day.

• Chores you can perform include:

• (New) Make breakfast in the meowning!

• (New) Make lunch for the house!

• (New) Make dinner with Locke, or have get kissed trying!!!!

• (New) Make the bed for Citrine while he's out for the day!

• Doing laundry in the servant's quarters!

• Shuffling the chores list!

• Helping to teach servants their lessons!

• Tidying up for Meowster, and, potentially, fluffing him up while he breeds!

• Polishing the hypno-screens, and tidying up Meowster's dungeon!

• A new stat has been added to the game: Master's Approval!

• When Master's Approval is 9+, you get special privileges, such as only needing to perform 2 chores instead of 3.

At low levels of Master's Approval:

• You will be made to eat dinner out of a doggie bowl during End of Day.

• Your weekly allowance checks will be put on pause at 2 Approval or less.

• Your won't be able to explore the world with Citrine at 2 Approval or less.

• You will not be able to choose where you go when accompanying Citrine for encounters.

• There is a 1/6 chance that Citrine will personally visit your room to punish you, if your approval is 2 or less and it's been at least a few days since your previous punishment.

• Punishment scenes occur in this specific cycle:

• You will be spanked into submission, making you wake up later in the following day!

• Citrine will temporarily drain one of your stats away...

• Your speech will be restricted for several days, affecting your ability to interact with certain scenes!
