In fact, his slingshot can do things that guns obviously can't. It's not weak. And obviously, animal kingdom pirates, in the new world, are not going to go down easier than earlier enemies. Especially gifters.

Usopp and his slingshot are strong, but even then, he is specially designed to always be the weakest Strawhat. He's still at least pre timeskip grand line arc villain level strength
