I got creepy vibes from him aswell...they wouldn't have clarified (to his chambers? or had her change clothes if they didn't intend to show viewers they meant sex. However i really don't think she slept with the king, i think she didn't want to and i think she went there because she is a good girl and tried to comfort him by words because she is kind. And i also think the king was clueless as to why she was there, and just asumed she was doing it to be kind.

That was a horrible way to go with no warning, no choice, being terrified and undoubtedly feeling betrayed because he was lying to her face. Far as she knew he just gave up on her, she already was feeling guilty about past miscarriages. Foul shit to not try and make her comfortable. They only said they gave her enough poppy to not risk the child and that was only because they were still trying to have her give birth. I think they could've they just chose the way of brutality as a means to an end.
