Fallout4 Upscaler Alpha Test Build 01
Added 2023-01-18 23:25:48 +0000 UTCThis is the DRS version, it's not compatible with ENB.
And it's in a very early stage so I drop it here only for testing.
If you run into any issue you can report in the comments.
I am still working on an ENB workaround like for SkyrimUpscaler, and this DRS version will eventually be released on nexusmods for free.
Installation
1.Install like any other F4SE plugin.
2.That's it, no other steps.

I need every tester contact me on discrod to do further tests, about every single issue reported.

2023-01-20 21:41:57 +0000 UTCThis is only alpha, I am still polishing it. About HBAO+ maybe it's because the place I hook for doing upscaling is too early and is before HBAO+, so maybe when I found the place to do upscaling after HBAO+ it would still be taking effect. But either way I would need more people to contact me on discord for testing result so that I can do test for the issue reported.

2023-01-20 19:35:13 +0000 UTCHey the big issue for me with DLSS is that it obliterates HBAO+ even on quality at 4K. The AO completely changes. Comes big areas of occlusion are darker but any detail, like on faces and grass just disappears. I agree that DLAA looks incredible. I'm going to try 1440p with that. I was playing at native 4K and still had creeping aliasing on my characters hair from a short distance but DLAA just fixed it instantly.

2023-01-19 16:23:05 +0000 UTCAre you on my discord server? If not link your discord account on patreon and you'll get auto-invited. I might need some more details for the test result, cuz at least DLSS was working fine on my end before I roll out this build.

2023-01-19 16:04:08 +0000 UTCA few more things I noticed while using DLAA: - Temporal retention when picking up items, when mesh animates, when menu items switch, etc. (EDIT: partly fixed by updating to latest DLSS dll) - Discolored loading screens with incorrect gamma, - white line to the left hand side during loading screens - Strong Trails behind npcs and dogmeat when they perform certain animations like running (Partly fixed by updated dlss dll) - Incompatibility with even more fo4se plugins, i had to remove them all to get it working. I'll identify more that cause CTD's when i get a chance. - DLSS performance mode does not have the jitters that dlss quality and balanced and ultra performance have.

2023-01-19 11:20:26 +0000 UTCOk. Here's some feedback: - Jitter is possibly not implemented properly yet? When in dlss/xess/fsr modes the game jumps and pulsates every other frame. DLAA does not suffer from this and is completely stable. - DLAA looks fantastic. - The nvidia reflex mod will crash the game a few seconds into the menu. If you are getting crashes. Remove the nvidia reflex mod. - Suggestions to make DLAA look even better: - Most Important, make sure you have the official, ultra high resolution texture pack by bethesda installed (80GB). It's far more of a universal approach to textures and looks significantly better than mods, particularly with DLAA and high resolutions. - Install the disable headbob mod to allow for smooth movement https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17632 - Open the fallout 4 configuration menu https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102 and go to the ini section type in HBAO and put a 1 next to bEnable and change the value of Fpowerexponent to 3.100 - While in fallout 4 configuation menu, go to the top right side of the "performance" tab and disable both "brokeh" and "depth of field" as well as "Radial Blur" and "motion blur" then go to the tweaks tab and check "fix sensitivity ratio". Then go to the Textures/Details tab and if you have around 8gb of vram, choose recommended. If you have more, click recommend, then put in twice the recommended values for each option. This last one will increase the distance the highest quality textures are loaded in with texture streaming - Making use of DLAA's far superior sharpness. When you combine all of these tweaks. You will get a far more sharp, clear, detailed, use of this fantastic DLAA. Which is the only usable option right now for those of us testing.
