About the Patreon External Service Charge

I think you guys have read and heard about the latest news in Patreon: that Patreon is about to change the fees and add an external service charge that is about to take place on December 18th. Some people like the idea, others hate it, and others are just indifferent about this topic.
At first, it sounded good in my opinion and seems good, but, after reading other creators' post about this topic, about the consequences of this new fee system, I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe this could be bad for both parties, creators and patrons alike.
I mean, does this mean that, besides the pledges, you have to pay an adittional fee every month or every creation that creators make? I'm not good at mathematics to be honest, but I dont think this is a good idea. And without consulting to everyone who is using this services. Why changing this? I thought that we were fine with the current system.
I don't want to take advantage with this new system, because I worried that I may loose patrons because of this. And I don't want to make you pay more that you could.
Now, I don't want to sound dramatic, I'm very grateful for your support and your kindess for helping me to keep me working on what I like to do. But if you feel that you can't afford to pay the pledge with this new system, it's okey if you cancel your pledge. I can understand.
I hope that Patreon listens to the public and drop that external service charge.
