My Brob GF Ch 27: The Plans Of The Chosen Few!
Added 2025-01-17 02:32:02 +0000 UTCThe dark room was vast and cold, illuminated only by the faint glow of a single overhead light. Silvershade stood at its center, her imposing figure shrouded in shadows, her silver hair catching the dim light like a glint of polished steel. Her arms were crossed, her expression unreadable, but her golden eyes burned with disdain as they looked down at the three Lilliputian men before her.
The men—Dr. Elias Corbin, Dr. Victor Hale, and Dr. Samuel Wren—stood shoulder to shoulder on the polished metal table. Fear etched every line of their faces as they craned their necks to take in the colossal figure towering over them.
"You pathetic little creatures," Silvershade began, her voice smooth and cold, carrying the faintest hint of mockery. "Your miserable, insignificant lives will finally amount to something. Congratulations."
Victor, the eldest of the trio with thinning gray hair and wire-rimmed glasses, swallowed hard, his fingers gripping the edge of the table as though he might steady himself against her words. Elias, younger and stockier, his sharp blue eyes darting toward the room's only door, didn't speak but visibly flinched at her tone. Samuel, barely older than thirty with unkempt brown hair, seemed frozen, his breaths coming quick and shallow.
"You have been chosen," Silvershade continued, her lips curving into a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "You will serve a purpose far greater than yourselves. You will aid us in creating a masterpiece—a virus. Airborne. Precise. Deadly."
She leaned forward, her immense frame casting a shadow that engulfed the trio. Her tone softened, though it only made her words more chilling. "A virus that will cleanse this broken world of its impurities. Brobdingnagians and Lilliputians alike—weak, useless, overpopulated. All will be eradicated, leaving behind a world pure and untarnished for Gulliverians to reclaim as it should be."
Samuel finally found his voice, though it trembled. "You're... you're insane. You're talking about genocide!"
Silvershade tilted her head slightly, as though considering his words. Then she laughed softly, a cold, cruel sound. "Genocide? Oh, Samuel, how dramatic. This is evolution. Progress. I am giving you a chance to be part of history. Refuse, and you will be history."
Victor stepped forward cautiously, his voice unsteady. "And if we do this... you're saying we'll be spared?"
She turned her gaze to him, her smile widening. "Precisely. Help the Consortium, and you'll be allowed to live. Perhaps even thrive. It's a generous offer, don't you think?"
Elias suddenly straightened, his jaw tightening. "No," he said firmly, his voice cutting through the tension in the air.
Silvershade's smile faltered, her expression sharpening into something more dangerous. "No?"
"I won't do it," Elias said, stepping forward, his fists clenched at his sides. "This is wrong. Sick. Nothing good will come of this, no matter what you promise us."
The air grew thick with tension as Silvershade stared down at him, her eyes narrowing. Then, with a swift motion, she reached down and plucked him from the table, her fingers curling around his tiny form like a vice.
Victor and Samuel stumbled back, their faces pale as they watched their colleague lifted high into the air.
Elias squirmed in her grasp, his voice shaking but defiant. "You can threaten me all you want, but I won't be part of your twisted plan!"
Silvershade held him close to her face, her golden eyes locking onto his with an intensity that froze him in place. "And what do you know about plans, little man?" she asked softly, her voice dripping with disdain. "What do you know about life? What could someone so small, so weak, possibly understand about the world?"
She shifted her grip slightly, holding him up between her thumb and forefinger, her gaze never leaving his. "You think your principles matter? That your morals will save you? Let me make something clear. If you won't help us, you'll be nothing more than another lab rat. Your life is in my hands, Elias, quite literally. Choose wisely."
Elias's breaths came in short, sharp gasps, but he refused to look away. His silence seemed to frustrate Silvershade, and her smile returned, colder than before.
"You'll have time to reconsider," she said, lowering him back to the table and releasing him with an almost dismissive flick of her fingers. "But I wouldn't take too long. The clock is ticking, and patience is not one of my virtues."
The three men stood huddled together as Silvershade straightened to her full height, her shadow once again enveloping them.
"Make your choice," she said, turning on her heel and striding toward the exit. "But remember—this is the only chance you'll get."
As the heavy door slammed shut behind her, the room fell into silence, broken only by the ragged breaths of the three scientists.
Elias sank to his knees, his hands trembling. "We can't do this," he whispered.
Victor placed a hand on his shoulder, his expression grim. "We might not have a choice."
Samuel looked toward the closed door, his face pale and sweat beading on his brow. "You heard her. If we refuse, we're dead. And if we're dead, we're not stopping anything."
Elias shook his head violently, his hands digging into his hair. "You think cooperating is going to save us? She'll kill us the moment we're no longer useful."
Victor sighed heavily, his gaze lowering to the polished table beneath them. "Maybe. But maybe not. If we play along, we stay alive. If we stay alive, there's a chance—however slim—that we can figure something out. Some way to make this... less catastrophic."
Samuel hesitated, glancing between the other two. "What if we just... don't give her what she wants? Slow down the process, make errors. She's huge, but she doesn't understand the science. We could work just enough to keep her happy while... sabotaging things quietly."
Elias looked up at him, his face lined with uncertainty. "And what happens when she figures it out? She will, you know. Someone like her isn't stupid."
Victor's jaw tightened. "She's already made it clear what will happen if we don't cooperate. If we stand against her now, we're as good as dead. But if we stay alive, there's a sliver of hope we can make a difference—no matter how small."
The room fell into silence as the three men weighed their options, the cold reality of their situation pressing down on them.
Elias finally exhaled, his shoulders slumping in resignation. "Fine. We'll do it. But only because we don't have another choice. The second we see an opportunity to turn this around, we take it. Agreed?"
Victor nodded slowly. "Agreed."
Samuel hesitated for a moment, then gave a reluctant nod. "Agreed."
They stood in tense silence, the weight of their decision settling over them like a heavy fog. They would work with Silvershade—for now. But none of them could shake the feeling that they had just taken the first step onto a treacherous path, one from which there might be no return.
As they returned to their respective stations in the dark, foreboding lab, the sound of distant footsteps echoed through the room. Silvershade's voice carried back to them from beyond the door.
"Good. I knew you'd make the right choice."
