(Yuna)

I stood there, fists clenched, watching Cain with a mix of irritation and confusion. He stood across from me, arms crossed, that infuriating smirk plastered on his face like he didn't have a care in the world.

"How are you unharmed?" I demanded, narrowing my eyes at him. I knew my hits had landed—at least, they should have. No one could dodge like that, not even him.

He tilted his head slightly, the smirk growing wider. "Care to try again?" he said, his tone dripping with cockiness. He spread his arms wide, like he was inviting me to take my best shot. "Maybe you'll figure it out this time."

That did it. My irritation boiled over into outright anger. "Fine, then!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the Mindscape. I launched myself into the air, soaring dozens of feet upward before slamming down with a punch that could have leveled a building.

The impact sent a shockwave ripping through the ground, shattering the earth and sending debris flying in every direction. The force of it even made me stumble back slightly. But when the dust settled, my eyes widened in shock.

For a brief moment, I saw it—my fist had gone right through his smirking face. It wasn't like hitting air; it was as if his body wasn't even there, like he'd become some kind of ghost. Before I could make sense of it, he jumped back, landing gracefully a few feet away.

I straightened, brushing the dust off my arms as I watched him stand there, his arms still crossed. The smirk hadn't left his face for a second.

"Oh, so that's how it is," I said, walking toward him. My own smirk began to return. I wasn't about to let him have all the fun. "You know, Cain, there's a reason Betas have survived this long, even with Alphas and Omegas towering over them."

He raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

"It's because of your special abilities," I continued. "Every Omega has one, a power that lies in your blood. It's what makes you more than just average fighters. It's why you've managed to stay relevant in a world where Alphas like me dominate."

Cain chuckled softly, shaking his head as if I'd said something amusing.

I pointed at him, confidence building in my chest. "And I think I've figured yours out. It's intangibility, isn't it? You can make your body untouchable. That's why my punches are going straight through you."

Cain slowly shook his head, the smirk never faltering. "Nope. Afraid not."

I raised an eyebrow, crossing my arms. "Then what is it?"

He just opened his arms again, gesturing for me to come at him. "Why don't you find out?"

I clenched my fists, annoyance flaring again. "Fine. Let's see how long you can keep this up."

I charged at him, throwing punch after punch. Each strike was powerful enough to cause small craters in the ground, sending out ripples of energy that shattered the landscape. But every time, my fists went right through him. His body shimmered like a mirage, untouched by my attacks.

The frustration was unbearable. I wasn't just punching the air—I was punching with everything I had, and it was like he wasn't even there.

After a few minutes, I stopped, standing still and catching my breath. My chest rose and fell with each deep inhale, but I made sure to keep my composure. A smile crept onto my face as I stared at him.

"You can't keep it up forever," I said, tilting my head slightly. "I've been paying attention, Cain. You can only go intangible for five to ten seconds at most. That's your limit, isn't it?"

He didn't answer, just smirked again.

I stepped closer, confidence radiating from every step. "Now that I know your weakness, there's no way you're winning this."

Cain tilted his head slightly, the smirk turning into a full-blown grin. "Is that so?" he asked, his voice annoyingly casual.

I rolled my shoulders, ignoring the pang of doubt that crept into my mind. It didn't matter how smug he was. I had him figured out.

This wasn't my first fight against an Omega, and it wouldn't be my last. I'd faced off against their kind before—Betas with just enough stubbornness and just enough tricks to make themselves a challenge. But at the end of the day, I always won.

"Here's the thing, Cain," I said, circling him slowly. He stayed still, watching me with that damn smirk. "Alphas don't lose. Not to Betas, and certainly not to you."

I moved in quickly, closing the gap between us. He didn't flinch, didn't move to dodge. I threw another punch, aiming for his gut. This time, I timed it perfectly, waiting for the exact moment his intangibility should have worn off.

But once again, my fist went straight through him.

I stumbled forward slightly, regaining my balance just as he sidestepped out of reach.

"What the—" I started, but he cut me off.

"You're close," he said, his tone almost mocking. "But not quite there yet."

I straightened, brushing the dust off my hands. "You're playing a dangerous game, Cain," I said, narrowing my eyes at him. "Whatever your power is, it's not going to save you forever."

"Oh, I don't need forever," he said, his grin widening. "Just long enough to make sure you don't forget this fight."

I clenched my fists again, determination flaring in my chest. He thought he was clever, but he didn't realize who he was dealing with.

"Fine," I said, lowering into a fighting stance. "Let's see if your little trick can hold up against me for another round."

Cain tilted his head, his smirk never leaving. "Round two, then?"

"Round two," I said, lunging forward.
