Psylocke Vol 2 Ch 9: First Night!
Added 2024-11-18 01:17:32 +0000 UTCI sat cross-legged on a wooden table, holding a small napkin with what looked like giant pieces of food piled on top. Well, they were just crumbs, really—crumbs from the huge plates of food the Brob women around me were devouring.

I glanced ahead, watching the Brob women enjoy their meal and chat with Breonia. She looked happier than usual, smiling and laughing with them like they had some long history together. Just how deep that connection ran, I had no idea, but they seemed tight. Breonia was sitting on the table too, cross-legged, while the Brobs leaned over her, grinning like they were all old friends.
It was almost sweet. Just don't tell Breonia I said that, or she'd probably make me lick her boots.
"How's the food?" Grace asked, her voice booming softly from above. I turned and smiled up at her.
"It's good," I said, grabbing some more food with my hands. "I just wish I had some silverware." I glanced down at my greasy hands and sighed.
Grace chuckled. "I know, but Lilliputian silverware is tough for us Brobs to manage." She flashed a grin, enjoying her own meal with massive utensils that made me envious. Lucky her.

I understood, though. Everything about these girls was huge—they stood far away, yet still filled my entire field of vision. It made sense that handling tiny Lilliputian things like plates or forks would be impossible for them.
Leaning back against Grace's leg, I stuffed another chunk of meat into my mouth. Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine, an eerie feeling of being watched.
"What's that?" I thought to myself, scanning the table. The Brobs were busy chatting with Breonia and eating, none of them paying me any attention. Then I saw her.
Sitting across the table, legs crossed, was Serena Turner. She was eating with such elegance, like she was royalty, slowly raising a fork to her mouth. And her eyes—they were locked on me. Or at least, I thought they were. Could she even see me from all the way over there?
The more I stared, the more I felt like she could. I knew Brobs had special contact lenses that enhanced their vision, and hearing aids that made their hearing sharper. But even those had limits, right? I wasn't sure what those limits were, but Serena seemed like she had no trouble focusing on me. Her calm, patient gaze sent shivers down my spine.
Just then, I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Grace smiling down at me.

"Are you done eating?" she asked, her voice gentle but strong.
I wiped my mouth with the napkin and stood up. "Yeah, I'm done," I said, knowing what was coming next.
"Darcy!" Grace called out, grabbing everyone's attention.
Darcy, sitting at the head of the table, turned toward us.
"If you don't mind, could you show us to our room?" Grace asked, gently picking me up with her right hand.
"Of course," Darcy said with a warm smile, standing up from her seat. "It's been a long day, and tomorrow won't be any easier. You should get some rest."
With that, Darcy scooped Grace and me into her large palm, carrying us both with ease as we prepared to call it a night.
Darcy carried Grace and me through the hallway in her palm, the steady rhythm of her steps making me sway slightly. The giant walls on either side loomed over us as we moved deeper into the building. I couldn't help but feel like a mouse in a maze built for giants.
Grace, sitting next to me, looked relaxed, leaning back into Darcy's hand, but I was on edge. My mind was still racing from the dinner, especially after that strange stare from Serena.
"Here we are," Darcy said as she slowed to a stop. "Your room for the night."

She opened a door with her free hand, revealing a massive room—massive to me and even Grace. Everything was scaled for a Brobdingnagian, but there was a Gulliverian bed on the floor and next to the bed was a small table in the corner, clearly meant for me.
Darcy gently set us down on the bed. Grace stood up and stretched, but before I could even process the size of this place, Darcy's voice cut through my thoughts.
"Get some rest, Tristan," she said with a soft smile. "You'll start your training tomorrow." She said looking down at me, her form casting a dark shadow over us both.
I blinked in confusion. "Training?" I asked. "Why couldn't I finish training with Breonia?"
Darcy's eyes flickered with something—maybe concern, maybe caution. "It's because of your abilities, Tristan," she said, her voice a little quieter but still firm. "Breonia and I both agreed that, with your potential, it's best that you train in a more secluded area."
I stared up at her, completely lost, I mean I was in a desert, how much more seclusion did I need. "Why here?" I asked.
Grace stepped in beside me, her towering figure casting a shadow over me. "It's the same place where Breonia learned to control her powers," Darcy added.
I glanced at Grace, who gave me a slight nod, confirming Darcy's words.
"Just get some rest, okay?" Darcy said, standing up to her full height. The sheer scale of it made my stomach flip. I mean, I'd gotten used to Brobs being... well, massive, but watching her rise up like that still freaked me out. "I'll explain everything tomorrow, including your first training session," she added with a wink. "You might even enjoy it." Her steps boomed as she walked out, the floor trembling with each movement until the door shut behind her, leaving me alone with Grace.
I yawned, exhaustion creeping over me. I turned around, but before I could fully take in my surroundings, something soft and warm smacked me right in the face, nearly knocking me off my feet.
"Whoa!" I stumbled back, blinking, only to find myself staring straight at Grace's lips—soft, pink, and impossibly huge. Her teeth peeked out from behind her lips, like boulders ready to crush anything in their way, though I knew better than to think she'd actually hurt me. Still, it was... overwhelming.
Grace's eyes twinkled down at me, her lips curving into a playful smile that sent a chill down my spine. It was the kind of smile that told me she was in the mood for something... different.

"Well, this is awkward," I muttered, taking another step back, but Grace leaned in closer, her breath washing over me like a warm breeze.
Her smile widened, and she tilted her head slightly. "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost." Her voice was smooth, teasing, like she knew exactly what she was doing to me.
"Gulp..." I swallowed hard. Her smile was definitely sexy, but it also carried a sense of mischief that had me both nervous and curious.
