(KOTG) Ch 2: The black Beast, The Giant Savior!

He squinted up into the dark canopy, the sheer height of the trees making his head spin. These weren't just trees; they were towering, ancient titans of wood and vine, stretching so high their tops were swallowed by the thick mist hanging in the air.
"Shit..." he muttered, shaking his head, feeling the weight of his helplessness settle in. The vast forest loomed around him, each tree trunk as wide as a city building. He was nothing but an ant in this world, utterly insignificant and hopelessly lost.

"Where am I?" he whispered to himself, glancing around with an urgency that bordered on desperation. No familiar roads, no signs, just trees-and the low, unsettling hum of something hidden in the shadows.
Thron started moving, carefully picking his way through the uneven ground, his shoes slipping on thick roots and damp earth. Strange plants dotted the forest floor, their unusual shapes and colors captivating his attention. He saw a shrub with crimson leaves that seemed to pulse with light, each leaf shifting between shades of deep burgundy and an unnatural, electric blue. He paused, mesmerized, and reached out to touch it, but thought better of it, sensing a faint heat radiating from the plant.
He kept walking, passing bizarre flora that defied explanation. One tree had branches that twisted and knotted themselves like snakes, covered in small, silver blossoms that glowed faintly in the dim light. Another plant resembled a coiled spiral, its petals a shocking shade of neon green that faded to a soft pink at the edges. Some plants were round and smooth, their surfaces glossy and reflective like glass, catching glimmers of light and casting odd, colorful reflections across the forest floor.

The air was thick with the rustling of unseen creatures, each noise sharpening his sense of vulnerability. Small growls and chittering echoed through the shadows, yet he couldn't see what was making them. He was surrounded by a cacophony of life, but he felt utterly alone.
And then he felt it— a faint, rhythmic thud beneath his feet, like the steady beat of a giant heart.
He stopped, eyes widening as he looked down at the ground. The rumbling grew stronger, vibrating through his bones, sending shivers up his spine. His heart raced as he realized something massive was moving, far too close.
"That can't be good..." he whispered, beads of sweat breaking out on his forehead as he backed up, trying to keep his balance as the ground trembled.
Then he saw it...
From the dense, towering bushes ahead, a monstrous figure emerged, a hulking beast cloaked in shaggy red fur. Its eyes glowed a menacing shade of crimson, gleaming with a hunger that made his stomach twist. Its teeth were jagged and sharp, bared in a snarl as it locked eyes with him. The creature looked like some twisted version of a wolf, but its body was larger than any animal he'd ever seen, with claws that scraped the ground as it advanced, leaving deep gouges in the dirt.

"What the hell is that!" he screamed, the sound torn from his throat as panic gripped him.
Thron spun on his heel and bolted, his legs pumping as he fled deeper into the forest, but it was hopeless. The creature was on him in seconds, its massive paws thundering against the earth, gaining on him with terrifying ease. Thron was nothing more than a scurrying mouse, helpless against the ferocity of a predator that saw him as prey.

"Shit... shit... shit!!!" he gasped, his breath ragged as he heard the beast's snarl close behind him, the sound so close he could feel its hot breath on his neck. He dared a glance back, only to see the creature's jaws opening wide, ready to tear him apart.
But before the beast could strike, a deafening roar echoed through the forest. The ground shook with a force that sent Thron sprawling forward, his face hitting the dirt as he threw his hands up to shield his head. A blast of wind swept past him, followed by the sickening sound of something crunching, breaking.
He forced himself to look back, dazed, and saw a massive fist planted into the ground where the creature had been.
Its head was crushed into a gory mess, a heap of blood and mangled fur beneath the weight of the blow.
Thron's gaze traveled up the enormous arm that had delivered the lethal punch, and his breath caught as he took in the figure towering above him. She was a woman, but unlike any he'd ever seen. She was a giantess, her form wrapped in rough, weathered armor that glinted dully in the sparse light. Her long, light brown hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing a face both fierce and beautiful. Her eyes were a piercing blue, like ice crystals, yet filled with a warmth that contradicted the brutality she'd just unleashed.
She knelt down beside him, her movements surprisingly gentle, and gave him a small, amused smile.

"W-who are you?" he stammered, his voice barely a whisper as he took in her sheer presence, struggling to reconcile the power he'd just witnessed with the kindness in her eyes.
