Psylocke Vol 2 Ch 6: A Promise From The Heart, I'll Be Their

It was just too much. That's what I thought as I leaned against the massive, hill-like flesh that made up Grace's palm.

It wasn't that long ago that my life was all about handing out flyers and asking young adults whether they wanted to join the UM. If they didn't flip me off or tell me to screw myself, that was a good day.

But all of that seemed to be over, and now I was dealing with this Esper and True Psychic stuff. It was way too much for someone like me.

"Huh?" My eyes widened in surprise as I felt something firm yet soft push against my back.

I turned my head slightly and saw a massive nose just inches away from me.

"Grace?" I smiled, looking into the enormous face of my girlfriend. Damn, l love the sound of that.

"You alright?" she asked as she backed her face away.

"I'm fine," I replied.

Grace's expression grew more serious as she looked down at me.

"Here I thought you knew better than to lie to me."

"Uh oh," I thought. "I'm not lying," I quickly said. "I swear."

Before I could say another word, the wind shifted, and a blurry, massive, skin-colored spear started racing toward me.

I closed my eyes as it pressed against my chest.

"Ah!" I yelled out-not in pain, but in shock.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a gigantic index finger pressed against me.

Grace looked down, her eyes sharp and threatening. "Tell me what's on your mind."

I started to sweat. "Come on, Grace... I'm okay, I swear."

Grace brought her face closer to my pinned body, her finger still in place as her plush, pink lips hovered near me.

"Last chance," she said.

I stayed silent-not because I was being defiant. I knew Grace wouldn't hurt me, but honestly, I was curious to see what she would do.

"Fine, I guess you chose the hard way. I almost forgot how stubborn you are."

Grace smiled, but it wasn't a kind smile. It was playful and coy. Her lips parted, and out came a massive tongue that could easily cover my entire body.

"Um..."

I couldn't get a word out as the pink flesh overtook me, washing over my face and body.

I was bathed in warm, sticky saliva as her tongue continued to envelop me.

"Grace... can... you... please..." I tried to speak between the licks that covered my body, each one harder and longer than the last.

"No talking," Grace said, pausing for a moment. "I don't want to hear another word unless you come clean." She licked her lips as she stared down at me.

Looking up at the Gulliverian who had easily overpowered me with nothing but her tongue, I realized I was completely stuck. My body was coated in too much saliva, making it impossible to move. I decided to come clean.

I spat out the saliva in my mouth and began to speak. "I-I want to go home."

Grace's smile disappeared as she heard me.

"This isn't what I signed up for. I just want to have a simple life." I didn't know if what I wanted was wrong, but it didn't change anything.

"This power, whatever it is, is too much for me." I looked up at Grace. "I'm afraid."

I felt like a coward, and there was no other way to say it. I had never been an overachiever. I wasn't like my dad, who had achieved the rank of Silver, or even like Grace, who had become a Level 2 Bronze soldier. I wasn't content with being a Bronze Level 1 for the rest of my life—I mean, I would be if the pay wasn't so terrible—but still, whatever job I'd get after wouldn't be hard, nor would it allow me to stand out. That just wasn't who I was.

"It isn't fair."

I slowly looked up as a shadow fell over me.

"It isn't right," Grace said, her hair falling around me as a look of concern etched itself onto her face. "But you know what... you're the strongest person I know." She smiled. "So I know, I know you'll be able to carry this burden."

Grace's hand suddenly rose, forcing me to grab onto her finger as I began to ascend.

She puckered her lips and kissed me, and let me tell you, it felt otherworldly as her massive flesh enveloped me in a warm, comforting embrace.

Grace ended the kiss and held me a few inches away from her face. "And if there ever comes a time when you can't, I'll be there."

"How laughable," Breonia scoffed, sitting cross-legged with a smirk plastered on her face.

"This maggot is the strongest person you know?" She laughed, her voice dripping with disdain. "I have toenail clippings bigger than he is!" She yelled, her eyes narrowing as they locked onto me.

I gulped, feeling the weight of her gaze.

"Don't be so pathetic," she continued, her tone laced with disappointment—the kind that usually led to a blob of drool rocketing toward me or a massive boot trying to crush me.

"This is your life now. Deal with it."

"Come on, Breonia," Darcy's booming voice shook everyone as she intervened.

All of us looked up at the Brob who held us effortlessly in a single hand.

"Can't you see this is hard for him?" Darcy asked, her eyes, as vast as mountains, focused down on Breonia. "You should be more sensitive."

She then turned her gaze toward me—well, I think she did. It was hard to tell with someone so massive.

"Tristan," she said, her voice softening. "You don't have to worry because we're going to a place that will solve all your problems."

"Really?" I asked, my voice tinged with doubt.

"Oh yeah," she replied with excitement.

Breonia began to giggle. "Psylocke."
