Hello everyone!
As always, I meant to post something up sooner, but once again we're at the end of the month and it's mostly been quiet on here...
Once again, I want to thank everyone for their patience while I continue to get back into my groove. Last month and the whole ten stories thing was a bit of a wash. Not a total failure but certainly a failure. If there's anything that I want to pass along to people who read these posts, though, then it's that failure is okay. Not every shot you take can be a hit, and more often than not you need to fail a few times in order to, well, be successful. Sometimes, in fact, you need to fail a lot of times in order to be successful.
Anyway: the post that I was going to make around the beginning of the month was going to be a spiel about how I was taking a step back this month to do some earnest work on a project that's been on the backburner for a while. That project is... well, you've read the title, but just in case you somehow haven't, that project is A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest.
I've been chugging away on this one for the past few months, and I'm finally ready to show some stuff from it and talk about it a little thanks to the fact that I've been spending most of the month pushing away on it. So here we go!

If you're unfamiliar with A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest then it was - or is, really - a spiritual sequel to A Tiny Furry In A Huge World. Set in a fantasy world rather a school campus, it featured the main character (some random fantasy adventurer person, or, insert your character here) being shrank down to, y'know, the usual two or three inch or so proportions that my content tends to feature predominantly.
Unfortunately, the game had to be cancelled because I didn't really want to continue working in the Quest engine for many, many reasons that I've been through many, many times before. It did get a fair chunk of content wrote for it before it's lights went out, though, and it's still available to play and downloadable in the old Dropbox if you want to try it out. This post isn't about that, though, this post is about...
... well, it's about the new version, which I've been working on for most of the month, and what the screenshots littered through this post are from.
Bear in mind - please, please - that nothing in the screenshots is final. If anything they're almost certainly not final. Everything from the backgrounds to the visual novel style busts to the UI surrounding it are all very much subject to change, but they are intended to roughly represent what the final product might look like.

By working on it I mean I've finally been trying to get something concrete and playable down, or, something to work with. Bones to lay the meat upon to use a gross phrase that I just made up off the cuff.
This version is going to be different to the original version. Not just in the sense that it looks very different - the original game was predominantly a text adventure, after all - but also in the sense that it's going to have a slightly different plot.
Slightly different being the key word here. You're still going to be a vagabond on your way to a town called Hellev - the town from the original product - and a lot of the characters from Hellev are going to reappear. Wilson is still gonna be a barmaid, Ygraine is still gonna be a raven with a micro betting arena, Tia is still going to be... Tia... it's just that the circumstances surrounding you and your character are going to be different.

Saying things are going to be different is a bit vague, but I do want to leave the exact specifics of the plot up in the air, because giving more than vague details would spoil some of the surprise I feel.
I will talk about the gameplay though. A bit! Despite the fact that I've only shown off visual novel style elements so far, the game will have 'sandbox-style' (IDK how else to put it) open areas where you can explore around and interact with characters and do side quest style nonsense and maybe even solve some puzzles and cast some magic and all that, who knows?
You'll tackle these open areas at both sizes, micro and regular size as you go on a long (and steamily dangerous)

These 'open areas' will be interwoven with the visual novel style sequences, and what you do and your choices in these more open sections will - lightly and heavily - influence the plot as it moves along. Be nice to a character and when you find yourself shrunk later on they might be kind to you... and if you're an asshole to them, then they might just go ahead and eat you. That sort of stuff!
Because, yes, alongside having a pretty big plot-focus, the game will also have tons of macro/micro and vore stuff, because would it really been a Kyobi game if there wasn't a ton of macro/micro and vore stuff? The answer to that is of course not, so, y'know... it'll have that in spades. The more pornographic (vornographic?) scenes will be more in the style of my older games, as in, aside from some animations and noises, they will mostly be represented by lots of juicy text on the screen.
So even if this looks like a more visual affair overall, I won't be skimping out on the word count: I'm just making the presentation elsewhere more... visual? I think that this will make for a nice mix: the plot that you experience and the game that you play on your way to the vore and macro/micro scenes will be very
Unlike A Tiny Furry In A Huge World (and the Quest version of this game) you won't be permanently shrunk in A Tiny Furry In A Huge Quest. It's something that'll come and go, sort of like a curse or something like that...

Next year - after A Tiny Furry In A Huge World v1.3 is done, which is soon, soon, I swear - I'll be putting the majority of my focus into this and another side project that I've yet to announce that people will find pretty cool I think. At least, in terms of games. I have story plans going forward as well - big story plans, I'm very excited to get back into written content - but I'm going to talk about those more next month!
Anyway, this is a bit of a weird preview because it's mostly screenshots and vaguely written information, but I hope that the ramble and the pictures give everyone a good tease of what this game will look like. It's going to be big, it's going to be ambitious, and it's going to be, I think at least, my best game yet.
Over the coming weeks I'm going to be talking about it more and more, posting dev logs and updates and maybe even a sneak preview of it, though... that's more for 2025.
As for the rest of the month? Well, I'll be posting that Salazzle story before the end of it - it's a good one - and then, come the beginning of December, I'm going to be outlining my plans - or more my desires, really - for the coming year in terms of content. The tail end of this year has been pretty shit - the summer in particular was perhaps the most depressing in my entire life when it comes to content creation and motivation - but things are finally on the up, I swear, even if it has been a quiet month.
Spending some time working on the project that I'm most excited for at the moment is really what I needed. A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest has been on the back of my mind for several months, and the lack of progress that I made on it has been very frustrating, so really getting some work done on it has left me motivated for the other projects that I want to finish before I can properly focus on it... like A Tiny Furry In A Huge World v1.3. Which is going to get finished soon!
December is gonna be a pretty great month for content! Stories abound - I've been writing some stuff this month too -and other things to boot, including the first update for A Tiny Furry In A Huge World in quite some time. I look forward to seeing you then, and I'll be telling you more about all that on the first of December!
Oh: and if you're American and into the holidays, then happy Thanksgiving! To everyone else? Happy Thursday!
I'll see you before the end of the month for that Salazzle story! Until then...
