Eye Of Newt

Hello everyone!

Here is another story! Naturally this one was supposed to land last month, along with a couple of others, but that didn't happen! I apologise for this - breaking promises and plans sucks - but at the same time failing this commitment has taught (or perhaps retaught) me some valuable lessons and reminded me of several things that will make it easier for me to write stuff going forward. If this sounds vague to you - and it should, it is kinda vague - then don't worry. I'll be going over exactly what I mean in a different post, because I don't really want to bog this one down with, you know, all that.

Let me just say this though: as much as I am disappointed in myself for the failure, I am also doing okay. Failure isn't the worst thing in the world, failure is a process in which you learn things, important things, things that you need to learn to go forward.

Anyway! Story time. This one is an unbirth story!

A woodland witch procures a strange ingredient and prepares it with an even stranger method... all to avoid using an 'icky' eyeball. [5000 Words]

Even though the month is over and the stupid silly challenge that I set myself is technically failed, I will still be delivering on the polled story! You know, that one from last month where everyone voted for a Salazzle related story!

The beginning of the month post will be coming after the weekend. I would post it up sooner but I have some family things that need to be attended to over the next day or so and doing that will give me a bit of distance from work and allow me properly put together my thoughts. What I will say before I sign off is this, though... I am doing well, I have plans to make things happen, and, despite 'failing', I am in a better state to write, program, and otherwise work than I have been in months. In terms of work and projects, I'd like to start working on some very exciting stuff this month - exciting for me personally, and hopefully exciting for you too - and part of that aforementioned beginning of the month post will be about that.
