Tinier Furry In A Huger World - Gore Flag

Hi everyone!

Even though game development is on pause for a week or two, that doesn't mean that we can't run a couple of polls in the mean time.

This one is a general curiosity thing. The gore flag is something that I introduced to the game so that people who don't really want to encounter blood at all while they're playing.

However, upon thinking about it, I'm not really sure if anyone plays with the gore flag off. So this poll is about determining whether I should remove the flag and make gore standard in the game - i.e, it's something that's there and you can't toggle it off. Considering how small you are in the game, there's not buckets of blood or any particular drawn out description of gore anyway, it's just ... sometimes, a bit bloody, because ... big people standing on small people or whatever isn't particularly clean.

For example - let me copy and paste two examples from the game itself.

This is when you discover a micro's corpse at the foot of the stairs -

The remains are disgusting and grisly. You know that they were a micro - you can tell that by the shape of what's left of their corpse and the tufts of fur that cling to their pasty body - but you don't know what species they were. At this point, they're just cracked bones and red paste. A mass of disgusting viscera at the very foot of the stairs.

WITH GORE FLAG OFF

It's not something that you exactly want to stand there and study. Put it this way - there's little left other than red paste.

As you can see, some stuff has been removed from the text, but the original text isn't enormously grisly or over the top. 

To be completely clear - the removal of the flag would basically mean that the gore flag is ALWAYS on. REMOVING THE GORE FLAG DOES NOT MEAN REMOVING GORE FROM THE GAME. Gore is something that I generally enjoy writing - within taste - so it will always be in the game. 

The advantages of this is that I don't need to spend extra time writing a non-gore variant. The disadvantage of this is if anyone actively uses the no gore flag (I'm honestly not sure if anyone does) then they will then run into potentially 'icky' content.

It's also important to point out that, like the disposal poll, this won't be decided by a majority vote. I will have to look at the results that I receive back - carefully - and come to a decision based off of those.
