I now know why so many of you voted for this movie *squints accusingly*

Scooby Doo and the Witches Ghost FULL Reaction

Comments

So, obviously I'm super late to this reaction but still wanted to comment. I grew up loving scooby-doo and this one was important as a part of the scooby movies with real supernaturally type things. Also, as a child, Thorn was definitely a part of my bisexual awakening. Since im here, if you see this comment I wanted to recommend you watch Scooby-doo mystery incorporated. It's a really interesting take on the scooby gang and has a real mystery to follow throughout the show. Thanks for sharing this reaction! Loved it. :)

21:37 this reminds me of when I was in history class very recently at college and my professor was talking about the witch trials. When he mentioned that method of how they determined if people were witches or not, I commented on that and said “it’s a lose-lose situation either way”. Like, there was no winning back then. (loving the reaction so far btw).

Loved this reaction!! This has always been my fave Scooby Doo film, especially since I grew up with a Wiccan parent and had been practicing a lot of it myself when I was young. This film really helped me defend myself and my family in school when we were called witches (in a bad way). Also the soundtrack is AMAZING!! You should def look it up since all the Hex Girls' tracks are just so AWESOME! A little off topic, but I've been doing my T shots while watching your reactions and it's been really helping me get through them (I'm dealing with being needlephobic and also trying to do shots) But I've done 9 shots now!! (just over two months) and I'm really excited and just happy to keep watching your reactions! So thanks for being your awesome self always! (Now to go watch your newest Helluva Boss reaction... lol)

Personally, this is my favorite Scooby-Doo movie. "Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island" is arguably better, but this is my favorite. And Mosco was already covering Zombie Island. Oh! If you're adding the Scooby-Doo theme to your Halloween playlist, Zombie Island has an absolute banger in the soundtrack called "It's Terror Time Again" by Skycycle. After her reaction, Mosco added it to her playlist. Yup! This was the origin of The Hex Girls. A big part of why this one is so popular. They were so popular that, while this was supposed to be a cameo role, they are now a canon part of the Scooby-verse. Making appearances or being referenced in a number of properties that have come out since. They get a couple episodes in 2010's Mystery Incorporated. One in which Velma is clearly... "star struck". Speaking of that lovable nerd, she's been a queer icon since the early days of the series, but way back in the 70s, that never would have been allowed on a kids show. At least nowadays she's allowed to be who she's always been. Even as recent as 2010, it was still very much "read between the lines". But if you want to see her full-on openly with no ambiguity crushing on another woman (that isn't that atrocious Mindy Kahling vanity project), check out "Trick-or-Treat Scooby-Doo". Also, never understood the whole "Meddling kids" line when I was a kid. Growing up I was positive the gang was in their early 20s. Nope. Turns out they're canonically highschoolers, ranging from 15 (Velma) to 17 (Fred & Shaggy). I think it was Fred's voice that threw me off, and that Frank Welker has been doing his voice for 40 years. "The Witch's Ghost" and "Zombie Island" are iconic when it comes to Scooby-Doo. Keep "Zombie Island" in mind, possibly for next Halloween, or just for your own private viewing. And I always push "Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated". IMO, the best Scooby-Doo anything. A cohesive plot arcing over the two seasons, still rooted in comedy but much more dramatic, there's stakes, and a body count. AND it has my favorite version of Velma. Not just for previously mentioned reasons, but this version is... kinda just over dealing with everyone else's stupidity.

This was why a lot of us ended having a thing for goths.
