Release, bugs and Android!
Added 2025-03-11 18:07:37 +0000 UTCHi guys!
This post is all about spilling the beans on the launch hiccups we ran into with the game, plus giving you the scoop on the Android version.
We’ve been soaking up your feedback - complaints, suggestions, all of it - and we’ve already ironed out a bunch of stuff thanks to you:
Minigame difficulty? Sliced down by 2.5x.
Text speed? Now 2x faster.
That goofy typo at the end with the Demoness? Fixed it (you’re welcome for the laugh).
Download links? Partially updated (which, uh, caused some drama - more on that in a sec).
I won’t geek out too hard on the tech side, but trust me, we’ve poured a ton of work into optimizations. The game’s feeling buttery smooth now, and it’s all thanks to your support keeping us going!
So, what’s the deal with the Windows mess? Blame it on scanners and game engine shenanigans - specifically those authenticity certificates. Windows Defender freaked out over the game, even though VirusTotal swore it was spotless. Turns out, this is a common headache across engines, even Ren’Py. Long story short, we had to swap out the Windows build links because of this sneaky glitch, and that totally threw itch.io’s algorithms off the rails. We tried to polish things up, and it backfired like a minigame moments, haha.
Now, about that Android version you’ve been waiting for - it’s dropping this week! We’re throwing everything we’ve got into optimizing and building it. No way do we want a repeat of the Windows Defender saga on Android. I’m thinking of tossing a VirusTotal link in with the build to show it’s clean - sound good to you all?
Thanks for sticking with us through the chaos!
