Check In 08/19/2020

Most of my week has consisted of writing/coding, which is honestly my least favorite part of the process. I can already hear you saying "STWAdev, you've made it clear that the story is already written, how hard can coding it be?" I have already written the story, the problem comes from the fact that when I wrote it originally it was in third person from the perspective of all the characters, when I started development it made more sense for a first person perspective, so know while I'm coding I have to make certain changes to keep the flow and intent. It's not difficult, just time consuming, I expect I'll be mostly if not completely done with everything by the end of the weekend.
While coding I've been doing some re-rendering of my first release. I'm not changing story or anything just rendering the scenes with some of what I've learned since I started development so I can bring the render quality more in line with Ch 3 and beyond, this takes minimal time but I also don't want to take to much away from my current work so with each release I'll redo some and add them in, by the time I finish I expect the whole game will have the consistent render quality I crave.
Other small things I'm doing atm:
Looking for a song that works as the title theme, not world ending but I'm hoping to have a title theme by release time.
Watching animation tutorials, this is harder for me than I care to admit. I'd like to put animations in my game, but I'm not willing to half ass them so I'm trying to learn as much as I can between work periods.
You may have noticed but I put out a minor 3.2 update, no content changes but I finally got rid of that damn text box that had been driving me nuts so now the UI is a little cleaner.
That's about all happening from a dev perspective at this point, I do want to take a moment to thank everybody who's joined our little community. I can't tell you how heartwarming it is watching this place grow slowly but surely, and it mean so much that my little story is connecting with people. I need to get back to work, but maybe you'll catch me around when I have a moment away from code. I'm trying my best to be communicative and be part of communities but not take time away from development.
I'll be back for an update next Wed and for you 5 and higher folks don't forget we'll have two cosmetic polls running during the weekend so be sure to log in and vote if you want your voice heard.
Stay safe and tell somebody you love them.
