That whole scene with “Rhodes” being a Skrull did drop a small hint that could bring more credence to the theory you guys have. He addressed Fury by his first name of Nick. I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal or a suspicious thing, but think about it. There is a reason for that to be a hint. In “Captain Marvel”, Fury states in his conversation with Carol Danvers during their drive to the SHIELD base that everyone-including his mother-ONLY refers to him as “Fury” alone. No character who is familiar with Nick Fury ever calls him by his first name to his face. The real Rhodes wouldn’t make that mistake. A disguised Skrull slipping up on the other hand would.
