Genre Poll for January- Sci-Fi

Please bear with us as we try out these new polls, we realize tweaks need to be made to the request post and we will fix that for the next month. Keep an eye out for the "What Genre will we watch?" POLL to come out towards the end of this month.

2023-02-08 23:05:16 +0000 UTCDo people really not understand that one of the most epic pieces of music from the last 20 years comes from Sunshine? It's been used in like 4 movies, 2 or 3 trailers since. I feel like people have forgotten this amazingly unique film and it's great performances.

2023-02-08 01:26:23 +0000 UTCOne of the weaknesses (and arguably a strength) of the MCU movies is, for the most part, they feel like they all could've been directed by the same person. (That's a slight exaggeration, but you probably know what I mean.) Meanwhile, Hellboy has a very specific look and style to it. It's got that Halloweeny color palette and gothic set design, etc. Plus, that melancholy score by Marco Beltrami is awesome.

2023-02-07 14:31:07 +0000 UTCSad, Hellboy is so creative and is so underrated nowadays ;_; I really do like the MCU movies and all but you can tell del Toro looks much deeper into the comic than what you would get today from the studio movies. Maybe next time.

2023-02-07 03:21:13 +0000 UTCThe Wrath of Khan is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time. It's a classic! I agree with others that Hellboy and Watchmen are not science fiction. Not saying it's foolproof, but maybe you could view the genres on IMDB before adding things to genre polls?
