Many episodes ago before The Hatch was even found Sayid kept saying his compass wasn't working. I think Rousseau mentioned the "Black Rock" and you guys started to wonder what the Black Rock was and Tom said: "Maybe the Black Rock is a giant Magnet that pulled the plane down" LOL I was really impressed by that prediction but didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to hint any spoilers. I never put the compass going crazy having something do with the electro-magnetism, I thought it was just the Island being the Island lol.

Jury's don't reach verdicts on large concept "might be"s. Even though it fun to theorize, sometimes sticking to the facts is the best course of action and best way to theorize to find the truth. Desmond got his boat from Libby long after he last saw Penny so there really isn't any way for her to have put a tracker on it as Tom was theorizing. Have we seen someone be tested against their will in this show? Have we seen any of our Losties get experimented on? What lead's Kim to believe The Other's goals are something sinister? Since Eko told him to get out of there, Charlie left before the hatch blew up. Walking back with his hearing loss from the dynamite, he likely didn't hear the humming or know it blew up(or did it even it blow up??? Does a white light mean explosion?) in a violent manner. Also even though Henry says "We're the good guys", understand that LOST is not your typical these are "the good guys", these are "the bad guys" show.
