2020-12-13 23:21:12 +0000 UTCLast Action Hero was a fun flick and had memorable moments but the kid character got a bit annoying at times I have to say. I still think Eraser is Arnold's most underrated film and the Storm Crew definitely need to react to True Lies at some point since there have been films from both Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis featured on the channel.

2020-12-06 21:04:46 +0000 UTCI'm glad you liked the movie. It seems like you and Kim already had a general idea of what to expect, so Mom did as well. I think it wasn't so much that audiences were more easily scared in 1984. It was that the *specific* audience that this was marketed to wasn't expecting anything scary at all, but rather an all-ages family movie. I DO hope you watch the sequel soon. There's so much inventiveness to it, and it's very self-referential. I think a lot of that works better if the first one is still fresh on your mind.

I remember at the time I was a little disappointed that it didn't at all take its own premise seriously, and basically just satirized the first movie. However, over time, I came to appreciate just how joyously exuberant and inventive it was. THE BURBS (more Joe Dante) has always been one of my favorites. It's interesting that it was panned upon its release. I think it's simply one of those movies that you grow to love over time, sort of like you grow to appreciate people over time - and when movies are reviewed in theaters, they need to "wow" people right off the bat. When I was younger, I would've loved to have lived in that neighborhood. And since we're on the subject of Dante, I'd like it if someday the ladies watched INNERSPACE.

2020-12-06 05:01:44 +0000 UTCAnd as a suggestion, maybe for when 2021 comes around, and now that y'all have seen DIE HARD (which was directed by John McTiernan), then I'd highly recommend checking out his other film LAST ACTION HERO which was a 1993 action comedy which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and parodies '80s action films (somewhat similar to Hot Fuzz, in a way), and it also features a familiar Game of Thrones alumnus as the villain. Quite possibly Arnold S.'s most underrated film out there. ;D Thumbs up if anybody would like to see that happen. ;D

2020-12-06 04:58:07 +0000 UTCNow y'all definitely got to check out the sequel GREMLINS 2, the tone and the Gremlins themselves, are a lot more, shall we say, batsh*t hilarious (almost Looney Tunes cartoony), and Gizmo is at his most cutest. Whilst G1 was a somewhat comedy horror, G2 fully embraces the comedy elements to the max. P.S.: Gremlins' microwave scene and Temple of Doom (both of which were PG) had sparked controversy amongst parents, and were what both motivated the MPAA to create the PG-13 rating in 1984 as proposed by Spielberg himself. Personally I don't like the scene when Kate reveals her father's death, feels like a tonal assassination. I'd also recommend checking out director Joe Dante's other film THE 'BURBS starring Tom Hanks, which is a satire of Hitchcock thrillers, and my favorite Joe Dante film ever.

I only really tend to watch reactions to things I’ve already seen and have only seen this once so it’ll be a fun revisit watching this reaction. Also really have 🤞 you all may find time to react to Bruce Almighty. It was within a few votes of the winner of the last movie poll (The Grinch will be a lot of fun as well) and has been on the polls and done well for so long. Love that movie. Also would love to see Jennifer Aniston finally in a movie reaction from you guys lol. My favorite actress
