MOVIE POLL- Vote/Request here! :)

Hi all and welcome back! Time for another POLL! I have a lot of PMs about how to format our Movie POLLS, so thank you for your patience while I try to make time to respond :)

There are a lot of Holiday requests for obvious reasons ;)

Thank you for all your requests and your support!

Requests that didn't make it in are probably on our LIST, but feel free to request again to bump them back to the top! I do keep track of all requests! Or try my best too :) Please don't get discouraged if your request isn't super popular.. we do randomly select one almost every week to give every request a fighting chance :)

Any trolling, do not engage. Let me know and I'll handle it. That person will be banned and then their VOTES will disappear. We want to keep this fair and fun.

Please give us a week or so so watch what WINS, edit and upload. :)

Thank you everyone for supporting us!

Also Deep Impact since you watched Armageddon and this is similar

+1 for Band of Brothers.

I would like to recommend the World War 2 HBO TV miniseries Band of Brothers that was produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. It's a true story of the parachute infantry regiment of Easy Company which the series follows from boot camp till the surrender of the Germany. If you liked Saving Private Ryan, you will really like this series.

I honestly would like to see The Polar Express on the polls even after Christmas has passed. Also Parasite is a good one. So is Hamilton (even though that one is more of a play on film).

I'm not sure if this is the right place since it says movie but I want to recommend a TV show (Castle) with Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic

Nicole Christie

67 for Kong Skull Island? Hey not bad! Not bad at all. :D

Namey Namerson

my suggestion again is Dogfight. I think you guys would love that movie. It's very good and a great message too

Tyler Mckenzie

It would be great if y’all could react to Justice League, The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom, Escape Room, and Searching. Those are all fantastic films. I also hope you guys could start the DC Arrowverse soon with Arrow!

My suggestions for the next poll are Predator, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Blues Brothers, Tommy Boy, The Breakfast Club, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Superman 1978, Batman 1989, Kubo and the Two Strings, Aquaman, Air Force One, Birds of Prey, and Fantastic Mr. Fox

Adam Grunther

Please Rocky!

Would love to see: Mad Max: Fury Road The Social Network La La Land Good Will Hunting Love, Simon 12 Years a Slave Parasite The Karate Kid 2

rhaegar

Movie suggestions: The Horse Whisperer, Free Willy 1-3, Point Break (1991), A Perfect World, Drive, The Empire Of The Sun, Twister, A Time To Kill, Runaway Jury, The Man Without A Face, Southpaw, Se7en, Philadelphia, Walk The Line, Argo, End Of Watch, Zodiac (2007). TV shows suggestions: Hawaii Five-O (2010), The Night Manager, Justified, Emergency Room, Angel (spin off from Buffy). Special suggestions: Lord Of The Dance (1996), Blackfish.

Stephanie

Add The Wolf of Wall Street to Underdog poll!!!

Pinhead Larry

Out of these I'd say Die Hard 2 is the best bet to have a chance of winning - which is still 1 better than my requests...

Same story for Dunkirk and Social Network. Heat hasn't competed well in the main poll, but between it and the Underdog poll it's been on a poll 3 times now in the past 4 weeks. Bruce Almighty has come up 2nd two weeks in a row now (though it still technically has a chance of winning) and has been on the poll 4 out of the last 5. These movies also don't belong in the Underdog poll. That's why I suggested a runner-ups lottery for random picks every other week, to get them off from hogging the polls and get them watched sooner. These runner-ups just constantly being put on polls, week after week and not winning is just taking up poll spots away from other requests... :\

I think it's time for good will hunting hahah - its been on the polls for weeks and is consistently in the top 5 but never manages to reach first :(

Anne

Eyes Wide Shut is an interesting film and has good performances but certain scenes might be too awkward or uncomfortable for Dawn and Kim to watch it with Mom. It can depend on the people and when you're all adults, most can handle it better but that movie does have a creepy atmosphere surrounding those scenes.

Justin S.

Love that scene, have you seen the bloopers for it? Funniest thing ever!

I want Bruce almighty to win just so I can see their reaction to the news room scene

Joe Chester

So either way, it looks like we are getting a Jim Carey movie.

Matthew Richson

There Will Be Blood, Sicario, Whiplash are great movies to watch

Pinhead Larry

Greta Gerwig movies like Lady Bird and Little Women would be amazing!

Pinhead Larry

Poll is definitely big on holiday themed movies and not many choices I can say I'm a big fan of but I understand it's that time if year. Here are my weekly movie requests: The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) Die Hard 2 (1990) The Ref (1994) Beethoven (1992)- Not a Christmas movie but a good comedy/family flick from the early 90s. Bad Moms (2016), A Bad Moms Christmas(2017)- The sequel is the holiday themed one but really should watch the first one beforehand.

Justin S.

πŸ˜†

I like Bruce Almighty better. c:0

Train to Busan....perfect holiday movie

George Ramirez

The rescuers and The fox and the hound. Two very underrated disney classics imo :)

Shyam Nair

Darryl John Dodo Tait

Would love for you guys to watch the Social Network! Happy holidays!

Falink523

Naim Johnson

happy holidays everyone!

Michael McGee

Y'know storm it just hit me how many followers y'all have. I feel so proud as a long patreon for you guys to have the success you're having. Also, I'll always be clicking The social network! Haha

Lemuel Daher

Kiera Knightly version. Never seen the BBC miniseries, only the 1940 version with Laurence Olivier and the 2005 one which is on the poll here. Is it any good?

Also, can I ask which version of Pride & Prejudice is the one on the poll? The BBC miniseries with Colin Firth or the more recent movie version with Kieira Knightley or another one?

zammmerjammer

It looks like it's not getting that many votes but I highly recommend you (or anyone) watching the 1951 B&W version of Scrooge as it's considered THE definitive movie version of A Christmas Carol, certainly before a parody version like Scrooged with Bill Murray or the Muppet version. There simply hasn't been a better onscreen portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge than Alistair Sim's (plus it's chockful of really excellent British character actors and in particular his housekeeper is just hilarious).

zammmerjammer

A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey :D

Well, here goes some suggestions. Heat(PLEASE PEOPLE), Training Day, Midnight Run, The Wolf of Wall Street, Ocean's Eleven, As Good As It Gets, The King of Comedy, Awakenings, Scent of A Woman, Scarface, Memento, The Prestige, Jerry Maguire, Eyes Wide Shut, Risky Business, Central Intelligence

Shehab Dawoud

PLS WATCH LOVE VICTOR OR STARGIRL.... REALLY GREAT SHOWS FOR YOU

Brandon Jensen - May the force be with you

National Lampoons CHRISTMAS VACATION is a perfect christmascomedy movie with chavy chase and a classic to christmas

Daniel Fuchs

Make it a suggestion on the next Underdog poll, see how it does there. :)

TV series Mr monk Turn Washington spies Movies Sister act A christmas carol (1984) Ghost The green mile Bodyguard (Whitney Houston) Hunchback of notre dame Sound of music Chitty chitty bang bang Prince of Egypt Bicentennial man Bugs life The last samurai Ice age Cars Last holiday World's fastest indian Gran torino Cool running The magnificent seven (2016) Real steel The longest yard (2004) The bucket list Fracture (2007) Operation finale The taking of pelham 123 (2012)

Caleb Harvey

yes! it's my favorite film :)

Melinda Sandstedt

It lost to an old blockbuster in last week's Underdog poll, though and likely would've lost to The Karate Kid on the Underdog poll before that one. :p

I'm not familiar with the 1951 version of Scrooge. However, I *love* the 1970 musical version starring Albert Finney (also titled "Scrooge"). I don't know how popular it would be if that one showed up on a poll, but I would sure vote for it.

WastedPo

Yeah, Heat should probably stay in the underdog poll. It’s got no chance against campy movies and blockbusters.

Shehab Dawoud

I'll throw in a few of my Christmas favorites, one on the dramatic list, one on the lighthearted comedy list (instead of naughty or nice :p) Christmas lighthearted comedy favorites list: Ernest Saves Christmas 1988 - Ernest made lots of movies in the 80s, but they're all stand-alone movies, not sequels. This one is the only one of all his movies that still tickles me and still holds up, full of Christmas related hi-jinks and fun spirit! It IMO also has the BEST all-time endearing portrayal of Santa Clause ever as played by Douglas Seale - who you might know as the voice of The Sultan from Disney's Aladdin :) Krampus 2015 - here I go not being able to help myself despite knowing what most people like here ( I can imagine it's even more the case during the Christmas month lol), but it IS a comedy. A comedy-horror, but still. It IS also rated PG-13 and very family friendly as comedy-horror goes - it's subject matter also IS family-centric - so it's Mom safe. This too has a pretty good message about the naughty people in the world during this time of year. ;3 Bruce Almighty - just re-suggesting it in case it loses for the 3rd time. It's hilarious for one and also has a very Christmas-y message to it that I still appreciate it even at my most jaded. ;P Christmas dramatic favorites list: Joyeux Noel 2005 - movie based on real-events when German, French and British soldiers unofficially declared a worldwide Christmas truce on the battlefields during World War 1 and actually mingled and exchanged food and souvenirs as gifts while still at war. Miracle On 34th Street 1947 - wouldn't it be nice to finally have a Black and White movie in the Storm Akima library. ;D It's a Wonderful Life - if for some reason you guys haven't seen it. :P And for those into shorts, if you haven't seen The Little Match Girl 2006 by Disney or The Snowman 1982, I highly recommend these wonderful musical shorts. Might want to keep the tissues handy though!

The Grinch (for winter of course!), Bruce Almighty for traditionally good comedy, and Social Network for just being plain great movie (Best Picture worthy). Oh and Good Will Hunting because it has some amazingly impactful scenes.

Kevin

I already see that this one is not winning but "The Santa Claus" is my all time favorite Christmas movie❀️!

AyaaChann

Jihad Lee

I think you guys would like Fred Clause, I'm not really into many Christmas movies but that one is a favorite

Les Reece

Tremors

Can you ladies include my true story suggestions? Hacksaw Ridge, Unbroken, Harriet, and Miracles from Heaven

George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol. By far the best version!!!!!!

King Henry Beauclerc

Melinda Sandstedt
