Please don't tell us if this is answered later in the series... but theory wise in the moment.. what did you think was going on? Did Jack actually see his Dad for real? Was he halucinating? There is so much mystery that I think there is something more spiritual going on with this island! Can't wait to watch more!

2020-11-27 21:27:30 +0000 UTCWith this episode, I always assumed that it was refuting that trope of "any problem can be solved by giving an impassioned articulate speech," so I assumed the ticket desk woman just listened to Jack monologue and then told him, "yeaaaah... that's a sad story and all, but international law is still a thing so, sorry 'bout that." And then Jack had to leave his dad's body behind in Australia and the coffin on the plane was empty. But I'm not sure if that interpretation is actually what happened!
