Underdog MOVIE POLL- VOTE and Request here :)
Added 2020-11-09 23:19:35 +0000 UTCHi everyone and welcome to our first Underdog Movie POLL! The name can change, but I kind of liked it, LOL! So many of you have given me your ideas and opinions on how to format our Movie POLL, so thank you! Here is a list of rare or long time requested Movies. Please keep in mind that some popular movies are also rare requests that have been politely requested for a long time too. This Underdog POLL will occur every other week to still give Mom, Kim and I some breathing room to either take a break from 2 movies a week, or to watch something we would like to see, or a random rare request. We hope you can stay positive and understand how hard we are working to create quality content for you to enjoy. Thanks for caring so much to be here! You all make this possible!
Happy Voting! :D
Oh and we may try themes/genres... let me know it the comments section.. and just to note- this is a trial run to see how this POLL goes. :)

Hi Siddharth! Those are popular movies in general, but doens't mean they have been requested a lot... both have been requested over a long period of time (along with many other varied requests)... so if I narrow down this category too much, all those middle movies will never have a chance either. This is a new system I am figuring out with all of you... but right now I don't believe I should exclude the middle Requests because then they'll have no chance. I actually feel bad for Batman since that has been requested for over a year... I am hoping to watch Dunkirk and/or Social Network soon! I wish we could watch more a week, LOL! Thanks for being a fan as always! :)

2020-11-17 12:40:34 +0000 UTCKarate Kid and Batman should be on Popular movie poll!!!! The Social Network and Dunkirk should be the winner of the poll!

2020-11-13 08:00:19 +0000 UTCI used to think it was True Romance, until I looked into it and found out that Quentin's first film was a lost B&W movie called "My Best Friend's Birthday" from 1987 - which apparently had a screenplay that was very similar to True Romance.
2020-11-13 07:26:48 +0000 UTCI really like this system! Love for you guys to watch The Social Network!

2020-11-12 04:23:03 +0000 UTCYou should watch Lilo and Stitch. It's one of my favorite Disney movies

2020-11-12 01:53:16 +0000 UTCThe Lego Movie. I cannot recommend it enough. I am certain that it would be right up your alley. It's a kid's movie, but the kind that anyone can enjoy. It's funny, it's witty, it's clever, it's beautifully animated, and I think you guys would really love it.
2020-11-12 00:52:21 +0000 UTCSicario is amazing

2020-11-11 09:35:03 +0000 UTCMy underdog movie requests requests: Mean Girls, A Knights Tale, Superbad, Pitch Perfect, La La Land, Training Day, The Mask of Zorro, Wedding Crashers, Canโt Hardly Wait, About Time, Sicario, Willow, Tombstone, Casino, Nick and Norah's infinite Playlist and Wall-E.

2020-11-11 03:27:37 +0000 UTCSharknado with Tara Reid
2020-11-11 02:52:21 +0000 UTCRoger Rabbit is questionable because of it's age, but outside of Breakfast Club and The Muppet Movie most of these movies are pretty current blockbuster movies that were big hits at the Box Office. Aquaman is well known for reaching the billion dollar mark worldwide and it's VERY recent As is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Birds of Prey. Definitely not what you'd call Underdog poll movies by any stretch... :\
2020-11-11 01:56:51 +0000 UTCSocial Network, please everyone XD

2020-11-10 22:35:15 +0000 UTCI guess the first one? I haven't looked it up to tell yet. I haven't seen any of them and we try to stay in order. Hope that makes sense! :)

2020-11-10 14:42:01 +0000 UTCGreat poll!! You should add The Wolf of Wall Street, There Will Be Blood, Sicario, Zodiac, Fight Club, Lady Bird to this
Pinhead Larry
2020-11-10 11:42:19 +0000 UTCI definitely agree with the My Girl suggestion. I saw that first when I was a young kid and it might have been the first movie ever to get me teary eyed. It is a movie The Storm Crew would definitely enjoy.

2020-11-10 11:00:47 +0000 UTCIt was only a matter of time before they attempted something new here. I'm really glad to see a poll like this. The only minor issue I've have with it is that some of these movies really are not "underdogs" because some of these movies have been requested multiple times and received many votes, such as Batman 1989, Dunkirk, and Karate Kid, so it's not surprising that they're the top 3. Also, I hope it is the orginal Karate Kid and not the remake with Jackie Chan. It's much more of a classic. But nonetheless, it is definitely a step in the right direction, in my opinion, and gives patreons like myself more confidence that their suggestions will make a poll! Here are my underdog movie suggestions: Dante's Peak (Suspense, starring Pierce Brosnan, Linda Hamilton) Breakdown (Suspense, starring Kurt Russell) Mercury Rising (Action/Drama, starring Bruce Wills, Alec Baldwin) Meet Joe Black (Drama/Romance, starring Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins) Outbreak (Drama/Suspense, starring Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman)

2020-11-10 10:58:08 +0000 UTCI think your under 30 vote suggestion is a good idea. Yes, what defines an underdog movie might need some additional clarification or debate but this definitely a step in the right direction!

2020-11-10 10:49:30 +0000 UTCVery good poll and a great idea. Thanks for considering the recommendations. Can't wait to watch your reaction to Karate Kid. ๐

2020-11-10 05:25:00 +0000 UTCOoo, that's a good idea! Classic Golden era movies! I'm gonna piggy back on yours with a few classic B&W movies that I happen to love โค๏ธ๐ : The Petrified Forest 1936 Portrait of Jennie 1948 Dark Victory 1939 Roman Holiday 1953
2020-11-10 05:12:36 +0000 UTCI'm surprised you don't have "Coach Carter" (2005) on this List.
Darius.
2020-11-10 05:07:40 +0000 UTCMy Underdog requests: My Girl 1991 - A touching coming of age Dramady (drama/comedy with romantic elements) with Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Aykroyd from the Ghostbusters movies, Malcaulay Culkin and a charmingly sweet and above her years performance by Anna Chlumsky! It's like the Wonder Years meets Stand By Me but from a young girl's perspective. A League Of Their Own 1992 - A sports historical-based Dramady about America's first and only All-girls Professional Baseball League with Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Lori Petty. And directed by Penny Marshall! :D Benny & Joon 1993 - Romantic Dramady about a girl with mental illness who feels trapped by her illness and like a burden to her brother who has been looking after her since the untimely loss of their parents as kids - when she finally meets someone that gives her a sense of life beyond her illness, featuring Johnny Depp! Freaky Friday 2003 - A Disney fantasy-comedy with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in story about family and perspective, especially between Moms and Daughters! :) Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind 2004 - A Romantic Drama with Sci-fi elements about the value of not forgetting people and moments that were once so important to you with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, who does an AMAZING American accent in this.) ๐ค
2020-11-10 04:38:47 +0000 UTCI would request some classics like "Casablanca."
Paul Fisher
2020-11-10 04:30:48 +0000 UTCI love Zathura. I know box office wise and word of mouth it doesnโt compare to Jumanji but I think itโs just such a great film.

2020-11-10 04:20:34 +0000 UTCYay! You guys listened and are actually trying new things to try to work something out! ๐๐ An underdog poll is just what was needed to give the least voted on movies or little hidden gems most people don't know a decent chance to get watched by you guys - which is why we're all here, you guys' awesome reactions! ๐ I have to say though that a little ironing out of what defines an underdog movie should take place. Dunkirk for example made close to Transformers money in the Box Office. ๐ค A possible suggestion would be maybe consider a balance of movies that got under 30 votes in Popular movie polls (for movies that were very successful commercially, but for some reason just can't make it on the big movie polls here) - maybe limit it to movies that have appeared at least twice on the big poll and never reached the 30 vote plateau - and movies that have a hard time just making it on polls because so few are requesting them (for those hidden gems, new and especially old, that are SO good and you guys would likely LOVE but not many know about them.) ๐
2020-11-10 04:15:44 +0000 UTCHigh School Sport Movies: Remember the Titans Friday Night Lights The Blind Side Bend it Like Beckham Bring it On Mighty Ducks (all 3) Varsity Blues When the Game Stand Tall Coach Carter Hoosiers Thatโs all I can think of right now but I think all three of you could enjoy any of these, the first two are my all time favorites.

2020-11-10 03:37:11 +0000 UTCThis is by far the hardest poll ever!!!! Karate Kid might win but I voted for Vinny and am in tears because True Lies is my favorite action movie ever. Great name too. Lol

2020-11-10 00:55:09 +0000 UTCI still think you would like Zathura, it's more or less a spin off of Jumanji.
Sam Branham
2020-11-10 00:17:25 +0000 UTCIf I had to choose between the Top 3 โ I would rather they watch "The Karate Kid", despite the fact Iโd much prefer seeing them React to something else. Having said that, this Polling System is a step in the right direction. In the words of Hancock, โGood Jobโ. โLikeโ if anyone understood that Reference. lol
Darius.
2020-11-10 00:05:25 +0000 UTCYou ladies would love Karate Kid i think.
Armchair Wizard
2020-11-09 23:55:34 +0000 UTCI think this is a great idea! Films like these while great and entertaining would get lost againt The Green Mile and Rush Hour. Having an Underdog Poll (I love the name! ) will give films we all wish for you to see a better chance. Glad to see your all well! I'm sooo glad you're all still reacting, I know it must be harder than ever with social distancing but I think you're doing a great job, I look forward to your reactions every week! You make these crazy times more bearable :) Could you maybe add Maze Runner & Stardust to the next polls? Thanks again!
2020-11-09 23:34:58 +0000 UTCI can vibe with this polling system

2020-11-09 23:34:53 +0000 UTCIf the Prisoner film you're referring to is the one with Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllanhal, it's actually Prisoners. Written as singular I would imagine some who like the film and might otherwise vote for it might not realize it's THAT film.

2020-11-09 23:31:03 +0000 UTCItโs not going to, but I really hope that Kubo and the Two Strings wins. It is one of the best animated films, both in its story and animation.
