2020-11-08 03:17:11 +0000 UTCI'm about a quarter of the way through the reaction, and I just wanted to answer why the family doesn't know Jack-Jack has superpowers. I think at the end of the first movie, the superpower reveal is shown to everyone BUT the rest of the family. The babysitter, the bad guy Syndrome, and the audience discover that the baby is a super. However, the Parr family never actually discovers it. It's one of those weird tricks-of-the-mind. Sometimes when the viewer learns something, the viewer then assumes that that info is also known to other characters. In fact, it's such an understandable response, that sometime the inverse of that phenomenon is written into stories, where characters magically know information for no reason, even though the info was only revealed to the audience.
